Jennifer Garner Takes Aim at Blake Lively in Resurfaced On-Set Video Clip
Supporters believe that Jennifer Garner subtly criticized Blake Lively several months prior to the start of the legal dispute over ‘It Ends With Us’.
Previously, Garner, aged 53, notably returned to her character Elektra in the hit summer movie Deadpool & Wolverine. This film additionally showcased Ryan Reynolds (Lively’s spouse) and included Blake’s voice performance as Ladypool.
Or more concisely:
Garner, aged 53, reprised her role as Elektra in last summer’s hit movie Deadpool & Wolverine, which starred Ryan Reynolds (Lively’s husband) and featured Blake’s voice acting as Ladypool.
The Marvel movie was released concurrently with It Ends With Us, a dramatic film starring Lively and her co-director Justin Baldoni, which faced some difficulties.
In December, Lively claimed that Baldoni had sexually harassed her on the set of the film and furthermore organized a malicious campaign against her. Not only did Baldoni deny these accusations, but he retaliated with a $400 million defamation lawsuit. Both Lively and Reynolds have recently attempted to have this lawsuit dismissed.
Although Garner wasn’t part of the high-profile legal case, she seemed to throw a lighthearted dig at Lively in an old social media video that reemerged in August.
In the video, initially posted on Garner’s Instagram, the actress playfully refers to a ‘witch’ statue as Lively, while providing fans with a behind-the-scenes look at the Deadpool and Wolverine filming location.
DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for Garner for comment.

This is where I connect with Blake Lively, let’s check on her,” Garner expresses, then points her camera towards the stone effigy.
She then says to the inanimate sculpture: ‘How you doing, Blake? You lookin’ good!’
It’s worth mentioning that the statue depicted is none other than Elizabeth Olsen’s Marvel character, Scarlet Witch. This figure made its initial appearance in the Darkhold Castle during Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, released in 2022.
Some spectators thought Garner was merely joking around on the set, while others on platforms like TikTok and Reddit pondered if she might have been suggesting that Blake was a witch.
There doesn’t appear to be any documented drama between Garner and Lively.
In 2010, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, who were married at the time, appeared together in the movie “The Town,” a role that showcased their lively on-screen chemistry.
It’s not certain whether Garner and Lively crossed paths during the production of Deadpool & Wolverine since Lively merely provided the voiceover for the movie, which grossed an impressive $1.3 billion at global box offices.
At the July premiere of Deadpool and Wolverine in New York, it was conspicuous that Garner did not make an appearance. However, both Lively and Reynolds were there along with their co-star, Hugh Jackman.

A recent video of Garner has re-emerged, following closely on the heels of a previous video from 2011 featuring Reese Witherspoon that gained popularity on social networks, seemingly criticizing Blake Lively.
The video under discussion, which became popular on TikTok, depicts Witherspoon, who was 49 years old then, apparently alluding to Lively’s nude photo controversy as she took the stage during the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.
I, absolutely thrilled and on cloud nine, found myself present at the grand event – a ceremony that unfolded mere days following the unfortunate incident of alleged private photos of the beloved Gossip Girl star surfacing online.
As a faithful advocate for Lively, I would firmly assert that those blurry explicit images were undeniably fabricated. It has never been the case that Lively participated in taking nude photographs of herself.
In my perspective as a lifestyle expert, During my MTV Generation Award acceptance speech, I (Witherspson) didn’t hold back from what seemed like a subtle remark, or perhaps a nod to a certain trend in Hollywood that some might label as ‘bad behavior’. This is just one perspective, of course.
I understand, ladies, that being a bit of a rebel can be appealing. Yet, one can still succeed in Hollywood without appearing on a reality TV show,” the actress from Legally Blonde started off by saying.
In my day, if someone in our line of work created a sex tape, they’d feel ashamed and keep it hidden away somewhere private, like under their mattress.
She further stated: ‘In case you snapped selfies without clothes using your mobile device, remember to conceal your face.’

It was widely perceived that Witherspoon seemed to be critically targeting both Lively and Kardashian, the latter of whom became famous following the release of her 2007 adult video.
However, a representative for Witherspoon clarified to Us Weekly that the actress was not making any reference to Blake Lively in her speech.
In the past few years, there have been speculations, largely unfounded, about a supposed disagreement between Lively and Witherspoon. However, they haven’t collaborated on any projects together.
It was reported last year by Life&Style that the pair might have been vying for the opportunity to direct Taylor Swift’s first feature film as a debut director, and this claim was later verified by Searchlight Pictures in 2022.
According to a source, Blake Lively and Reese Witherspoon are both vying for the same position, as they both share strong connections with Taylor.
Although Swift has a close personal relationship with Blake, Reese Witherspoon boasts a wealth of experience in film production, as evidenced by her collaboration with Swift on the 2022 movie “Where the Crawdads Sing.
Currently, Lively is preparing for a major return to television this week, while simultaneously facing a heated legal battle with Baldoni.
She is set to go head-to-head in a sexual harassment and defamation trial at the U.S. District Court in Manhattan starting March 2026. However, it appears that the general public has taken his side prior to the trial.

On Thursday, Zestful is set to grace the stage again on Late Night with Seth Meyers for a highly anticipated talk show appearance as she promotes her new movie, “Another Simple Favor.
She’s set to make her debut on a talk show, marking the first time since December 2024 when she revealed her accusations against Baldoni.
In the year 2016, she made her latest appearance on NBC’s late-night program hosted by Meyers to publicize her horror movie, The Shallows. Additionally, she shot an episode in 2015 for the purpose of promoting her drama film, The Age of Adaline.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m excited to share that I’ve once again stepped into the shoes of Emily Nelson, the bride-to-be who miraculously finds herself free after serving a 20-year sentence for the tragic murders of her father and sister. This thrilling sequel, set amidst the enchanting backdrop of Italy, premieres on Prime Video this Thursday.
Currently, Paul Feig’s mysterious murder film is enjoying a 79% positive critique rating, based on the opinions of 34 critics, according to Rotten Tomatoes.
The cast of Another Simple Favor includes Anna Kendrick, Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Michele Morrone, Elena Sofia Ricci, Elizabeth Perkins, Alex Newell, and Allison Janney.
As an ardent cinephile, I had the pleasure of watching the captivating movie “A Simple Favor” that was met with an impressive 84% ‘certified fresh’ approval rating from film critics on Rotten Tomatoes. This intriguing production garnered a staggering $97.6M at the worldwide box office, showcasing its undeniable appeal to audiences globally.
On Thursday, Megyn Kelly openly criticized the actress from Deadpool and Wolverine, who was labeled as a ‘powerful giant’ during the Time100 Gala held in Manhattan.
In my perspective as a lifestyle connoisseur, I found myself expressing, “I believe this isn’t the right place for her,” during our exclusive encounter on the red carpet.
‘It’s a ridiculous joke. She shouldn’t be here.’

Megyn went on to say: “I believe she fabricated a false #MeToo accusation against Justin Baldoni, and she’s come to rue that decision because almost all of the claims she’s made have crumbled.
‘It’s scandalous that she received recognition for attempting to tarnish a man’s reputation over trivial matters with no substance.’
With increasing disclosure, it seems that Blake, who insists on ‘credit’ in all her movies, has apparently orchestrated a power grab over the It Ends with Us production, including the scriptwriting, wardrobe, music score, and editing sections, by hinting at withdrawing from promoting the domestic violence drama if her demands weren’t met.
In August, Lively attracted significant criticism for her handling of journalists, mockingly responding to questions regarding domestic violence in her film, and for promotional activities that were flower-themed and Barbie-esque, directly linked to her haircare and alcohol businesses.
