Jennifer Garner posts throwback pics with stunt double of 24 years and the resemblance is uncanny
As a seasoned observer of Hollywood’s tumultuous love stories, I must say that the saga between Ben Affleck and his wives seems to be as captivating as any blockbuster movie. Jennifer Garner, with her warmhearted demeanor and unwavering spirit, has always managed to keep things amicable even after their divorce.
As a die-hard admirer, I couldn’t help but be thrilled when Jennifer Garner shared a heartwarming collection of throwback photos featuring her longstanding stunt double, the exceptional Shauna Duggins. Over the past two decades and four years, these two have created an unbreakable bond on set, and it shows in every frame they’re in together!
In a recent turn of events, I found myself stepping into the shoes of Elektra, a role I originally embodied in the 2003 Daredevil movie alongside my then partner, Ben Affleck. This time around, you might have spotted me in Deadpool & Wolverine.
During Jennifer’s short return as Elektra in Deadpool and Wolverine, Shauna stood beside her, prepared to execute the most demanding physical stunts for the character.
Over the weekend, I shared on Instagram a touching video featuring myself and my dear companion, both donned in matching outfits for multiple characters we portrayed. (Age and name are implied in context)
There was a striking similarity between them, so much so that viewers may struggle to distinguish one from the other in certain split-screen photos.
In a touching post, Jennifer shared: ‘We’ve been a pair for 24 years, @shaunaduggins and I. (By the way, it’s strange that we don’t have many pictures of us as Elektra before the release of @deadpoolmovie – but we were certainly there!)’
In her video, they were often seen side by side in matching outfits while working on diverse productions throughout their career.
Among the options, one is the Netflix comedy titled “Family Switch,” released in 2023, where different family members mysteriously changed bodies with each other.
2021 saw the release of “Yes Day” on Netflix, a comedy where Jennifer and Edgar Ramirez portray parents who commit to granting all their kids’ wishes for an entire day.
Some photos dated back quite a bit in time – for instance, Jennifer shared an old picture of herself and Shauna both dressed in pink argyle sweaters, a throwback to their roles on “Alias,” the series she was part of between 2001 and 2006.
The photo seemed to be a match for one taken on the set of the 2007 romance film, Catch and Release, starring Jennifer and Timothy Olyphant.
One picture showed them posing behind-the-scenes with their faces spattered in fake blood, possibly for the 2018 action thriller Peppermint.
In discussing Peppermint, Jennifer referred to Shauna as one of her “dearest friends” and praised the exceptional quality of her work.
Jennifer shared with Entertainment Tonight that her stunt double and she have been working side by side since around the third or fourth episode of Alias. As a result, she considers her stunt double much like a sister.
As they were busy with the project “Peppermint”, Shauna taught Jennifer the skills needed for on-screen fight scenes, enabling her to execute some stunts effectively during filming.
As a long-time martial arts enthusiast, I’ve learned that training is essential for mastering any fighting style, and it seems Jennifer has taken her passion to a new level by incorporating it into her lifestyle, as evidenced by her Instagram post featuring Shauna giving her fight training in an open field. Based on my years of practice, I can attest that such dedication and perseverance are key elements for success in martial arts.
Yesterday, following her appearance at ex-spouse Ben Affleck’s intimate 52nd birthday celebration in Los Angeles, Jennifer shared a heartfelt message on Instagram.
Ben and Jennifer are happily coparenting their three kids – Violet (age 18), Fin (age 15), and Samuel – following their divorce, maintaining a friendly post-divorce partnership.
It’s being widely speculated that there could be trouble ahead for Ben and his wife Jennifer Lopez, as they are allegedly preparing to file divorce papers at some point in the future.
On the same day, E! News reported that Jennifer Lopez discreetly entered Ben’s residence, contrary to the fact that he had not attended her extravagant birthday party in the Hamptons a while ago.
It recently emerged that Jennifer has emerged as an ‘unexpected ally’ to JLo as the latter navigates her marital woes with Ben, via an Us Weekly source.
According to a source who shared this information last month, she (Jennifer) has been supportive towards JLo, and they’ve had a surprising connection. It turns out that Jennifer has proven to be an unexpected confidante for JLo.
