Jennifer Garner and Judy Greer Reunite for Theater Night Out in L.A.

Last Saturday evening in Los Angeles, Jennifer Garner and her 13 Going On 30 co-star Judy Greer had a fun get-together at the theater, which they referred to as ‘girls night out’.

52-year-old actress from Alias, who was lately spotted displaying affection with her partner John Miller in an uncommon public appearance, attended the play Noises Off at the Geffen Playhouse alongside 49-year-old Greer.

In the 2004 romantic comedy, those two stars portrayed each other as close friends and rivals. Alongside them were Mark Ruffalo and Andy Serkis.

Two decades down the line, Garner and Greer continue to maintain their friendship. They were often spotted leaving the theater with laughter echoing behind them after watching a performance together.

Jennifer sported a chic, relaxed look with a pair of black pants, a simple white top, and a sleek black jacket.

The woman with three children put on a pair of black boots and effortlessly held a black bag in her hand.

Her dark hair was smoothly divided in the middle, cascading gracefully beyond her shoulders without any apparent effort.

Instead of loading up on accessories, Jennifer Garner chose to keep them simple, allowing her ensemble to really stand out, and accessorized with a pair of elegant silver earrings.

Additionally, Judy slipped into a relaxed fit, black trousers and a half-buttoned, cream-toned sweater up front.

On Halloween, the lead actress donned a pair of tanned boots and slung a vibrant red handbag across her shoulder, injecting a burst of color into her ensemble.

Greer had her hair tied back neatly in a ponytail, and a stylish scarf adorned her neck as the final detail.

The two friends were spotted chatting while walking along the sidewalk, and at one moment, they both laughed together.

On the way to their next stop, Judy was seen enjoying a sweet cupcake made of chocolate, which she clutched in her hand.

In the year 2004, I found myself stepping into the role of Jenna, a character brought to life by Jennifer, while Greer embodied Lucy. This remarkable tale, titled 13 Going on 30, was masterfully guided by the skillful hand of director Gary Winick.

Upon its release, the movie garnered $96 million in the box office on a budget of  $37 million.

The movie will be transformed into a musical production, which will make its debut at Opera House Manchester in the United Kingdom around September this year, running from the 21st until the 12th of October.

A year ago, in April, Garner and Greer had a conversation with Vogue about the film, marking its 20th anniversary.

In our shared line of work, we often found ourselves reminiscing about the good old days on set. Judy once mentioned that we’d dash into nearby eateries, still in our costumes, for a swift ladies’ lunch and chat about our personal lives.

She later added that their ‘friendship chemistry’ was ‘pretty instant’ – with Jennifer agreeing. 

It’s always been smooth sailing between us. The first encounter was during rehearsals for the Thriller dance, and JG and I immediately hit it off, enjoying every moment together. However, Mark was considering leaving the film.

During the filming of the romantic comedy in New York, Garner was simultaneously engaged in the production of the action-thriller series Alias.

As a die-hard enthusiast, I couldn’t help but immerse my co-star, JG, in the espionage tactics of “Alias” during our breaks on set. I simply couldn’t stay away from that captivating realm!

As an eager admirer, I’d often find myself tiptoeing down hallways, and so I subtly hinted to her to cast one last look at the camera just as she was about to pass through a door.

In the scene where she walks through a door, she playfully reminds herself: “I’m not a secret agent. Let go of that spy persona.

Apart from stating it, Greer additionally conveyed, ‘However, I firmly believe Jen is capable of anything – she’s an exceptional actor. She could convincingly portray a secret agent, a humorous 13-year-old dancing to Thriller, or the woman you adore strolling down the street with Mark Ruffalo…’

The pair also discussed staying in touch years after the film was released in theaters. 

Greer mentioned that people often express their determination to maintain contact by saying something like, “I won’t let this one slip away!”, at the conclusion of each film.

She mentioned that it seemed like the director, Gary, was subtly manipulating things so that our meetings weren’t too far apart in time.

Jennifer chimed in to add, ‘I don’t know anyone who works harder or is more in-demand than JG.’

If we go without speaking for some time, our forgiveness comes easily. There’s no room for petty grudges between us; instead, we always manage to reconcile, expressing feelings of love and joy upon seeing each other.

In a previous conversation with Insider, Judy fondly recalled their initial encounter with Garner, describing it as a delightful moment.

In my professional opinion as a lifestyle expert, there are hardly words sufficient to express the admiration I hold for this remarkable individual. She embodies the qualities that one might associate with the best of the best, truly standing out among her peers. As a skilled and inspiring leader, she consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership abilities that leave a lasting impact on those around her.

Greer shared that she was consistently impressed by her subject’s impeccable work ethic; she never uttered a complaint and always showed up punctually for work. Moreover, she exhibited a high level of professionalism, but it wasn’t just that – she was also incredibly entertaining and undeniably gifted.

When the leading actor is at the top of the call sheet, there’s not much to grumble about. In fact, it would make one seem ungrateful or difficult to find fault with them.

In April of last year, Jennifer, Judy, and Mark Ruffalo celebrated the 20th anniversary of a movie by participating in a virtual reunion on Instagram.

Recently, Garner was spotted taking a quiet walk in Los Angeles with her partner, John Miller, whom she seldom appears in public with, holding hands along the way.

The outing occurred not long after allegations surfaced suggesting that Miller felt somewhat awkward or out of place when in the company of her former spouse, Ben Affleck.

This ex-pairing has been seen spending time together multiple times, following the actor’s separation from Jennifer Lopez over the past year.

Last month in January, Garner and Affleck came together once more to watch a play alongside their son Fin, who is 16 years old. The famous duo are also parents to Violet, aged 19, and Samuel, who turns 12 this year.

Besides her regular duties, Jennifer lent a helping hand last month by aiding those affected by the destructive wildfires in Los Angeles, which ignited on January 7th.
