Despite the reported tension between her ex-husband Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez concerning their shared $68 million property, Jennifer Garner maintained an upbeat demeanor.

53-year-old actress, newly paired with John Miller, appeared unfazed by the turmoil of her 13-year marriage, casually strolling with her pet in Los Angeles on a sunny Monday afternoon.

She was dressed for comfort in an all-black sweat suit  with matching Brooks running shoes.

Her signature brunette tresses were worn down with her bangs side swept.

She accentuated her natural beauty using harmonious makeup, finished with a rosy blush and glossy lips.

It was evident that Jennifer was in high spirits during the excursion, her face lighting up with a broad grin as she gripped the lead of her pet dog.

In contrast, it seems that Ben and JLo hold contrasting views regarding the necessary actions to finalize the sale of their $68 million Beverly Hills residence, a property that remains unsold since its listing about a year ago.

Last year in July, the Oscar-winning individual aged 52, who more recently suggested reasons for his divorce from the singer, has been unable to find a buyer for the extensive property he had previously listed.

Back in May of 2023, my previous partners and I, following our separation which was finalized in early January, made a significant investment by purchasing a property for a cool $60.8 million in cold hard cash.

Nevertheless, it appears that Affleck wants to reduce the cost of the house, but Lopez seems reluctant; this is the case even though there’s been little demand for the property so far.

According to a source, Jennifer believes that they could potentially secure a higher price for their house, hence her preference to maintain the current asking price. However, the current real estate market isn’t favorable, and as a result, the property hasn’t been selling, the insider told Us Weekly.

Currently, Ben is open to selling, regardless of the price. A source revealed that since his divorce has ended, he aims to sever all connections and move on completely.

‘He just wants it over and to sell it. He wants to reduce the price.’

Some real estate agents have advised TMZ that the initial asking price of $68 million for the couple’s marital home might be too steep, suggesting a reduction of at least 15% if they wish to successfully sell it.

A representative shared with the press that the two celebrities may have purchased the property at a higher price, given its expansive features like twelve bedrooms and twenty-four bathrooms.

On the other hand, individuals with sufficient funds to buy homes within that price bracket are actively looking for bargains on the current market.

The cost of insurance is going up too – experts say that the yearly insurance for a Beverly Hills mansion could reach about half a million dollars.

In January of this year, devastating wildfires swept across parts of Southern California, leading to a significant increase in the cost of fire insurance.

In August of last year, about a month after their house was listed for sale, Lopez and Affleck encountered difficulties finding a buyer, even though they had carried out renovations on the property.

Next month, the stars suffered a crushing setback when they agreed to the deal regarding their property.

At one point, TMZ reported that a New Jersey couple had offered Ben and Jennifer a staggering sum of $64 million. Regrettably, they decided to withdraw from the deal because of a tragic event in their family.

In an interview with Realtor.com back in October 2024, Selling Sunset’s Jason Oppenheim remarked that it would have been unexpected if the property had sold in fewer than 100 days.

He mentioned that, ‘Generally, houses of this size take around six months to sell, with some even staying on the market for much longer periods.’

After formally ending their marriage, Lopez and Affleck came to a confidential settlement regarding their shared property. The specifics of this arrangement have been kept under wraps.

The recent news concerning the ex-couple’s residence in Beverly Hills follows closely upon what appears to be a suggestion by the actor from Good Will Hunting regarding the possible reasons for their split.

In 2022, Ben and Jennifer got married, but last August marked the filing of divorce papers by Lopez, on their second wedding anniversary.

In a recent interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, he discussed his forthcoming movie titled The Accountant 2.

During the conversation about his portrayal of Christian, Affleck expressed: “Those you love dearly can make you the maddest. The comedy stems from their unique relationship.

Last week, Ben shared an unexpected development regarding his post-divorce relationship with Lopez, having finalized it four months prior.

In a subsequent comment, the actor from Good Will Hunting explained that he prefers not to disclose this information because it’s somewhat awkward and exposes him in a vulnerable way.

Additionally, Ben acknowledged his seemingly indifferent demeanor in the documentary named “The Greatest Love Story Never Told” and clarified that he felt ‘uneasy’ while being filmed.

Affleck expressed that he considered their privacy as something sacred. He further explained, “I decided to take part in this if I could do so honestly and in a captivating manner because I found the exploration intriguing.

Apart from that, he pondered over the past years spent with Jennifer Garner and their strong connection while raising their trio of kids – Violet (age 19), Finley (age 16), and Samuel (age 13).
