Jennifer Esposito will return in Blue Bloods season 14B (but will it be for the series finale?)

As a dedicated Blue Bloods fan who’s been following the Reagans through thick and thin for over a decade, I must say I’m both excited and saddened by the latest news. The confirmation that Jennifer Esposito will be back for one episode in season 14B is like finding my missing puzzle piece, but knowing it’s just for one episode leaves me longing for more.

As Blue Bloods concludes, there are some characters we’d love to catch glimpses of. To be honest, we secretly hope that Blue Bloods doesn’t actually have to end, but it seems CBS has made up their mind about it. Therefore, let’s focus on our desires for now.

One desire is to have Jackie Curatola rejoin us for at least one more episode. While we were fortunate to have Jennifer Esposito return during the initial phase of our final season, we would love to see her return once more. Excitingly, there’s a possibility that might happen!

Jennifer Esposito will be in one episode of Blue Bloods season 14B

Showrunner Kevin Wade shared exciting news with TVLine, confirming that actor Esposito’s character, Jackie, will make a comeback in the last series of episodes for a single appearance.

Previously, she joined them for a case involving a notorious serial killer. It’s always delightful when Danny gets to collaborate with his old partner once more. Despite Danny and Baez being an excellent team, there was a unique charm about Danny and Jackie, possibly due to the fact that they were the initial pair on the show. I believe that’s just because of their history together.

As a gamer putting down my controller for a moment, I’ve got to say it’s disappointing that Esposito won’t join us for the grand finale. The creators are being tight-lipped about it, but I guess we can expect a heartfelt, family-focused episode. With enough time to tie up loose ends, here’s hoping we get some well-deserved closure for our beloved characters.

Blue Bloods will end in 2024

There’s not much time remaining before season 14B of “Blue Bloods” makes its debut on CBS. Starting this week, we can look forward to the Reagans returning on Friday, October 18th. However, with only eight episodes left in the series, it’s worth noting that the final episode will air in 2024.

We’re still preparing ourselves for this development. The entire cast is yet to get fully prepared for it. Right now, we can only cling to the possibility of a Blue Bloods spin-off being produced someday.
