Jennifer Aniston to star in TV show based on Jennette McCurdy’s memoir ‘I’m Glad My Mom Died’
Jennifer Aniston is set to appear in a TV show based on Jennette McCurdy’s popular memoir, “I’m Thankful That My Mother Passed Away.
In 2022, a book was released, offering insights into McCurdy’s life as a child actor on Nickelodeon and her complicated bond with her mother, who passed away in 2013. The upcoming Apple TV+ series, spanning ten episodes, focuses on the tumultuous connection between an 18-year-old actress from a popular kids’ show and her self-absorbed mother, who revels in her status as “a starlet’s mother.” Aniston will portray this challenging character.
McCurdy, famed for her roles in “iCarly” and “Sam & Cat” on Nickelodeon, is now penning, overseeing, and managing the Apple TV+ series along with Ari Katcher, a name synonymous with “Ramy.” On the other hand, Aniston, currently featured in “The Morning Show” on Apple TV+ alongside Reese Witherspoon, also assumes an executive producer role.
