Jennifer Aniston shocked after learning Reese Witherspoon’s real name despite knowing her for 25 years

Jennifer Aniston was surprised to discover that Reese Witherspoon’s stage name isn’t her given name.

The actress, 56, playfully reacted when her co-star on The Morning Show shared her birth name – something he hadn’t done despite knowing her for more than 20 years.

The 49-year-old actress, originally named Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon, chose to use her mother’s last name as her stage name when she started acting.

Aniston was surprised, as she and Witherspoon have been close friends ever since Witherspoon played her sister on an episode of Friends back in 2000.

LADBible’s ‘Do You Even Know Me?’ segment filmed a fun conversation between the friends and co-stars while they were promoting the fourth season of their popular Apple TV+ show.

Witherspoon playfully tested her co-star by asking a trivia question: ‘What’s my actual middle name? Is it Jane, Jean, or Joan?’

When Aniston incorrectly guessed Jane, Witherspoon revealed that the answer should have been Jean.

She nonchalantly added: ‘It’s confusing. I’m Laura Jean.’

However, Aniston was shocked at the revelation of Witherspoon’s first name rather than middle name.

She exclaimed: ‘Laura Jean?’

She was astonished when Witherspoon explained: ‘That’s my real name. Yeah.’

Aniston exclaimed, “Laura? Who is Laura?” and added, “I’m never calling you that again! And where did Reese even come from?”

Without missing a beat, Witherspoon explained: ‘It’s my middle name. I’m Laura Jean Reese.

Aniston once asked Witherspoon why she used ‘Reese’ as her professional name. Witherspoon simply explained that she’d always been called Reese.

In the same conversation, Aniston also shared her middle name with her co-star, who was surprised to discover her complete name is Jennifer Joanna Aniston.

In the same show appearance, Aniston playfully asked her friend about a memorable moment when her *Friends* character, Rachel Green, accidentally messed up a recipe.

Witherspoon answered correctly that she had added minced beef and peas into an English Trifle.

Jennifer Aniston shared that she mistakenly made shepherd’s pie while cooking. She was following a recipe in a magazine, but some of the pages stuck together, leading to the unexpected result.

Season four of The Morning Show began on September 17th, with new episodes released every Wednesday.

Ahead of the premiere, the Emmy-winning show has already been greenlit for a fifth season.
