Jennifer Aniston reveals who she REALLY fell in love with on the set of Friends (and it’s NOT David Schwimmer)
As a dedicated fan of Jennifer Aniston, I cannot help but admire her deep love for dogs, a passion that was ignited by none other than her beloved pooch, Norman, from the set of Friends. Her heartwarming tale of falling for a canine is not just a simple anecdote; it’s a testament to the profound impact animals can have on our lives.
Jennifer Aniston developed romantic feelings towards a colleague from the Friends set, but it wasn’t David Schwimmer. During a recorded reunion special, she acknowledged having feelings for him.
But it was not with a human, either.
Can you guess who she fell for?
During a scene with Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry, the dog wasn’t acting effectively.
“The dog’s name was Norman, and Aniston decided to adopt him. Since then, their bond with dogs has grown stronger and endured until now.
Unfortunately, Norman passed away in 2011. To keep him close, Jennifer had a tattoo of a beige, fluffy creature put on her foot as a memorial. Even though it’s been 13 years since his passing, she still cherishes memories of her first dog with warmth.
Aniston shared her story with People while promoting her new book Clydeo Takes a Bite Out Of Life.
She mentioned that Norman was her initial pet, she shared. It turned out to be quite serendipitous, as he happened to appear in a scene on Friends alongside Joey and Chandler during the episode where they unintentionally left baby Ben on the bus, as stated by Aniston.
In my recent urban exploration, I stumbled upon an extraordinary scene – a dog walker brimming with canine companions, among whom was a charming fellow named Norman. Instantaneously, my heart skipped a beat as I found myself smitten.
On the filming location, the dog trainers informed the actress that the dog had not been selected due to missing his cue, a fact she relayed later.
‘So I jokingly said, “I’ll take him.” And they said, “Absolutely.”‘
Then she worried.
Then came a point where I found myself questioning, “Could this be true? Am I truly captivated by them?” From that moment on, I became hooked on the joy and companionship that dogs offer.
‘Cut to now wanting to rescue all shelter puppies in the world.’
Clydeo Takes a Bite Out Of Life is due out on October 1.
The Clydeo Fund will support animal rescue organizations around the world.
She has created ‘a fund where we can donate to these animals all over the world and inspire people to just throw in a dollar. It all adds up,’ she tells People.
As a fervent admirer, I wholeheartedly echo these sentiments: “I’m eager to spread the word and aid those shelters teetering on the brink.
The former partner of Brad Pitt stated, ‘We have the ability to aid these animals, spread knowledge about their plight, and assist struggling shelters that require urgent repairs as they’re deteriorating.’
“They’re struggling to match our pace, and it’s heartbreaking to witness the euthanizing of healthy, young, two-year-old dogs, or even puppies or litters. This burden is just too heavy for me.
Her book is meant to inspire kids to help dogs.
‘They’re so focused on these phones and just disappear into this void of scrolling,’ she said.
‘They don’t really spend time being stimulated by the world and figuring out what they want to do.’
She currently has two dogs.
