Jennifer Aniston is in the midst of a major remodel of her $14.8M Montecito mansion – purchased from Oprah Winfrey
As an ardent fan with a penchant for tracing the lives of Hollywood’s elite, I can’t help but be enthralled by Jennifer Aniston’s latest venture – the metamorphosis of her Montecito mansion. Having watched her portray Rachel Green, the quirky yet endearing character on Friends, it’s fascinating to witness the real-life evolution of this iconic figure.
Jennifer Aniston is currently undertaking an extensive renovation of her Montecito estate, a property she acquired from Oprah Winfrey for approximately $14.8 million in the year 2022.
In recently taken aerial images of her extensive countryside home, it seems the actress, aged 55, tore down the backyard to construct an inground swimming pool.
To make room for her pool, the lush grass that was there before has been totally taken away, so she can enjoy her new addition.
The 4,320 square feet farmhouse sits on a one acre plot of land and boasts four bedrooms.
In photos, obtained by DailyMail.com last month, construction was well underway at the property.
Previously, the house had a beautiful backyard featuring a stone stairway that led down to a lush green lawn, enveloped by vegetation. Regrettably, all of this has disappeared.
The equipment needed to transform the backyard includes a crane, which was resting just beside the exterior of the pool.
Apart from the main construction work, there were also several other tools and items visible at the building site. It’s uncertain whether Aniston is undertaking additional renovation projects or facelifts on the premises.
Prior to Aniston, Oprah owned the home.
In the year 2021, Oprah acquired a two-acre property worth $10.5 million and subsequently divided it into separate properties: the primary residence now belongs to Aniston, while the two adjacent smaller cottages were bought by her longtime friend and fitness coach, Bob Greene, for approximately $2.3 million.
Jennifer Aniston’s recently acquired home, constructed in 1998, boasts breathtaking vistas of both the ocean and mountains, multiple terraces, beautifully designed gardens, and an expansive motorcourt, all situated on a secluded lot surrounded by oak trees at the end of a lengthy, gated driveway, as reported by Architectural Digest.
The house boasts considerable privacy with its densely forested grounds, expansive green lawns, and ample space for parking up to fifteen vehicles comfortably.
It’s not the only home Aniston owns – she also has a $20.97 million mansion in Bel Air.
Known for her iconic role as Rachel Green on the popular sitcom Friends, this wealthy Emmy-winning actress, with an estimated net worth of $320 million according to a report by Cosmopolitan, has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry.
Last month, Aniston took to Instagram to celebrate her Friends co-star and BFF Courteney Cox’s 60th birthday.
The post included shots of them over the years and a sweet message praising Courteney.
