Jennifer Aniston FINISHES dramatic renovations on $15M Montecito mansion where she’ll ‘chill’ over summer

Jennifer Aniston recently completed the remodeling of her $15 million mansion located in Montecito, California, which she bought last year.

A photograph of the property following significant renovations, which took place earlier this year, has been acquired by DailyMail.com.

On an acre-sized plot, the most significant new feature is now a swimming pool, replacing the previous lawn area in the backyard.

The renovation also features new landscaping filled with cacti, along with an ample patio space perfect for setting up lounging chairs.

In the main house there are new black-framed windows and updated balconies.

Over the summer, the star will find relaxation following an eventful spring, which saw an attempted burglary at her luxurious $21M residence in Bel-Air, California.

A source shared with DailyMail.com last month that Jen feels content to find a tranquil spot where she can unwind and be herself. Despite her affection for Los Angeles as her hometown, she’s currently seeking a more rural environment to escape the city’s bustle these days.

Her Montecito neighbor include friends like Gwyneth Paltrow and Rob Lowe.

Residents near Montecito also include Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Katy Perry. Notably, Zoe Saldana has also purchased a property valued at over $20 million in this area.

And it helps that her friends are more than happy to spend time with her in Montecito.

According to a source, her friends such as Jimmy Kimmel and Jason Bateman plan to drop by, provide companionship, and assist in transforming the place into a comfortable summer dwelling for her.

According to a source, the gate of her Bel Air residence left her quite upset. Her friend added, “She’s really agitated.” The incident has given her an unpleasant sensation because it involves an intrusion into her safe haven. It’s truly unfortunate that this occurred.

Jennifer Aniston acquired the Montecito property from Oprah Winfrey in a private transaction worth $14.8 million, which took place in September 2022.

This 1999-constructed residence spans approximately 4,320 square feet. It boasts four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Additionally, it features a structure such as a pool house, cabana, or guest house.

The outside appearance of the property has been changed too, most noticeably by swapping out the old blue windows for contemporary, white-framed ones.

The upper-level balconies have also been renovated, now featuring dark metal railings.

During the ongoing renovation process, we’ve placed outdoor furniture on both the balconies and the elevated terrace that overlooks the swimming pool.

In Aniston’s spacious property, you’ll find multiple buildings: a large, L-shaped home offering views of the pool and gardens, a smaller structure nestled beside the poolside terrace, and a garage.

It is not known if Aniston has decided to add or change any of the interior rooms. 

In August of last year, the home was pictured during a substantial renovation process.

Photos taken from above revealed that she had torn down her farmhouse’s backyard to construct an in-ground swimming pool instead.

Oprah Winfrey, who has resided in Montecito for quite some time, purchased this particular property back in 2021. It was included within a larger one-acre estate and she parted with $10.5 million to secure it.

However, just a year later, Winfrey divided and sold the estate. 

In this transaction, Aniston shelled out approximately $14.8 million, whereas Bob Greene, a long-term companion of Winfrey, picked up the other part for around $2.3 million.

According to Architectural Digest, Aniston’s latest residence boasts breathtaking vistas of both the ocean and mountains, multiple terraces, beautifully designed gardens, a grand motorcourt, and is situated privately on a lot surrounded by oak trees at the end of a long, secured driveway.

The house boasts considerable seclusion with its densely forested grounds, expansive green lawns, and ample space for parking up to fifteen vehicles.

It’s not the only home Aniston owns – she also has a $20.97 million mansion in Bel Air.

It was reported that an individual, who is said to have driven his vehicle into the entrance of Aniston’s residence, has faced charges for stalking or disturbing behavior.

48-year-old Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, a die-hard fan, reportedly barreled his beloved Chrysler PT Cruiser right through the main gates of my Bel Air estate.

Since 2023, he’s faced allegations for persistently sending Jennifer unsolicited emails, social media communications, and voice mails.

Authorities have accused him of felony charges for both stalking and vandalism. Additionally, District Attorney Nathan Hochman from Los Angeles County stated that Carwyle is also facing a severe factor in his case: the threat of causing serious physical injury to someone.

Hochman declared in a statement: ‘Our office will actively pursue the prosecution of individuals who harass and frighten others, guaranteeing that they face justice.’

Carwyle has remained in custody following his arrest, with bond set at $150,000. If found guilty, he may serve a maximum of three years behind bars.

Jennifer was at home when it’s said Carwyle collided with the gate. A representative from the Los Angeles Police Department shared with PEOPLE: ‘A security guard on site managed to apprehend the suspect before officers arrived. Upon their arrival, they took him into custody peacefully. Jennifer happened to be present at home.’ The officials added that although Carwyle had only minor injuries, no one else was harmed in this occurrence.
