Jenna Ortega looks quirky in a tiered skirt as she promotes Wednesday in South Korea as season two of the Netflix hit receives rave reviews

At the Wednesday series second season press event held in Seoul, South Korea on Monday, Jenna Ortega presented an unconventional appearance.

The actress, known for her role as the main character in the popular Netflix series, sported bleached eyebrows at an event held at the Four Seasons Hotel.

She paired a gothic bouclé skirt adorned with mesh edging and a buckle belt, with a top displaying a zombie motif.

Jenna finished off her ensemble with a pair of black pumps, and styled her hair in a half-up, half-down do.

The new season of the supernatural mystery comedy, produced by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, debuted on Netflix on August 6 and has been met with enthusiastic praise by viewers.

In the most recent season, there are a total of eight episodes, however, only four have been released on the streaming platform, leaving some viewers feeling let down.

Although achieving a fantastic Rotten Tomatoes rating, viewers must patiently wait until September 3 to catch the remaining four episodes.

A multitude expressed their dissatisfaction on X, commenting: “Is that all? Just 4 episodes?”; “I’m not going to start watching unless it’s a full series”; “Will I be watching or waiting for the whole series on Sep 3?”; “Just 4 episodes.”

The paraphrased version aims to convey the same meaning while using slightly different words and sentence structures.

That didn’t stop fans from giving it a whopping 78% on review website Rotten Tomatoes.

Others expressed their thoughts as follows: “The second season of Wednesday was exceptionally well-done, even surpassing the first in my opinion. However, releasing an entire batch over four weeks feels a bit intense, like they’re pushing too hard – almost as if Netflix is putting me through a squeeze.

According to Christopher Stevens from The Daily Mail, the series received a score of four out of five stars. He was particularly impressed by its standout guest appearances.

The beloved show centers around the life of Wednesday Addams, portrayed by Jenna, and first premiered on Netflix in November 2022.

She attends Nevermore Academy, a secluded castle school, where students with magical talents hone and strengthen their skills.

In a unique twist, some are werewolves, while others are gorgons capable of turning their victims into stone statues. Wednesday, on the other hand, possesses telekinetic abilities and has psychic visions, but her powers pale in comparison to those of her younger brother, Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez). His touch has the extraordinary ability to resurrect the deceased.

As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that this new chapter features Steve Buscemi portraying our school’s charismatic yet questionable principal, Principal Dort. Additionally, the talented Billie Piper graces our educational institution as a vibrant and eccentric music teacher.

Christopher notes that Dame Joanna Lumley delivers the most memorable guest appearance, playing Wednesday Addams’ grandmother. Instead of being fascinated by the macabre as the rest of the Addams family, she has transformed this interest into a successful career. Her funeral director profession is symbolized by her motto, “Death never takes a holiday, so neither do I.

Additionally, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Isaac Ordonez, Luis Guzmán, Emma Myers, Victor Dorobantu, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, and Hunter Doohan are all set to reappear as well.

‘Witty, snarky, and somewhat detached emotionally, Wednesday Addams delves into a series of murders as she forges friendships – and rivalries – at the Nevermore Academy.’

Wednesday part one is streaming on Netflix now, while the second follows September third.
