Jenna Ortega praised Catherine O’Hara, calling her a true legend after working with her on the movie Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
The 24-year-old celebrity shared a heartfelt message on Instagram Sunday, remembering the Canadian actress who died Friday at 71. She said she’ll always treasure their time working together on a film released this year.

The ‘Wednesday’ actress shared a heartfelt tribute, calling the person ‘a giant, an inspiration, and one of the greats,’ and expressing her deep gratitude.
Jenna’s heartfelt message joins many others from colleagues who have worked with O’Hara, including Macaulay Culkin, who played her on-screen son in ‘Home Alone’.
The 45-year-old actor shared two old photos of himself with Catherine on Instagram, simply captioning them ‘Mama’.
‘I thought we had time.
‘I wanted more.
‘I wanted to sit in a chair next to you.
‘I heard you.
‘But I had so much more to say.
‘I love you.
‘I’ll see you later. (sic)’
Catherine’s Schitt’s Creek colleague, Eugene Levy, expressed his sadness after her recent death following a brief illness, saying he couldn’t find the right words to describe how he felt.
He told Us Weekly he was heartbroken by Catherine O’Hara’s passing. ‘It’s hard to put into words how much I’ll miss her,’ he said. ‘I was lucky enough to know and work with her for more than fifty years.’
I’ve always treasured our connection, from our early days performing at Second City and on SCTV, through the fun movies we made with Chris Guest, and especially during our six wonderful years on Schitt’s Creek. It wasn’t just a great working relationship, it was a true friendship.
The actor from American Pie also expressed his sympathy to Peter O’Hara’s husband, Bo Welch, and their sons, Matthew and Luke.
He finished by saying he would deeply miss her, and expressed his sympathy to Bo, Matthew, Luke, and all of the O’Hara family.
Seth Rogen, known for his work with Catherine on the popular comedy series The Studio, shared that he admired the actress throughout his childhood.
The 43-year-old actor shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, saying he was at a loss for words. He explained that he told Catherine O’Hara when they first met that he considered her the funniest person he’d ever seen perform. He revealed that ‘Home Alone’ inspired him to become a filmmaker, and working with her was a genuine privilege.
He described her as incredibly emotional, kind, insightful, and giving. She inspired him to make their show the best it could be, deserving of her talent. Her passing is heartbreaking, and they all feel fortunate to have known her.
