Jenna Johnson responds to ‘extremely rude’ criticism over bottle-feeding her son Rome after age 2

Jenna Johnson Chmerkovskiy, a professional dancer on “Dancing with the Stars,” addressed harsh criticism she received concerning her choice to use a bottle when feeding her 29-month-old son Rome, who is not breastfed.

That is 11 months past when most children have typically moved on to cups and solids.

‘It’s inappropriate for someone so old to be bottle-feeding such a plump infant.’

On Saturday, Jenna shared an Instagram post featuring a photo of her and her son, whom she hadn’t seen for four days. Many people expressed strong opinions about him using a bottle to drink.

Completely okay with constructive suggestions from fellow mothers, but it was unexpected when a certain individual sent me a direct message, especially since her profile picture shows her with her own child. It makes me wonder what kind of environment we’re inhabiting.

Johnson acknowledges that being in the public eye comes with its challenges, yet the cruel remarks and hurtful messages directed at her child leave her contemplating a withdrawal from social media.

Born in California and raised in Utah, the dancer expressed his concerns bluntly, addressing the woman straight-on: “Is it appropriate for a complete stranger like me to message you regarding your child who seems to be drinking from a bottle? It’s just that I can’t help but wonder, what on Earth is going on?

Jenna concluded: ‘Please unfollow me immediately and respectfully get a life!’

The American Academy of Pediatrics advises parents that overusing bottles may cause tooth decay and hinder the proper growth of teeth and facial muscles, much like how prolonged pacifier use beyond the age of four might affect these areas.

On Sunday, Johnson once more posted on Instagram Stories to express gratitude towards his dedicated followers for the heartwarming messages they sent, causing him to genuinely shed tears.

Yesterday, I felt a deep pain in my heart when I saw just how cruel and unkind some individuals can be, as the twice-crowned Mirrorball champion expressed.

On June 24th, Johnson shared an adorable, bubbly clip featuring her toddler with long hair, diligently trying out the pronunciation of their family surname, Chmerkovskiy (in Ukrainian).

‘It’s definitely a tongue twister buddy!’ the Ovation Dance program director admitted.

Prior to the joyful preschool years, Jenna and her 39-year-old spouse experienced a difficult two-year struggle with infertility. During this time, they unfortunately suffered at least one miscarriage in the year 2021.

In 2014, a couple who have been married for six years first encountered each other while working together on a famous dance contest. Their relationship started to blossom in the year 2015.

In the years 2016 and 2017, Jenna and Val went through a well-known separation. During that period, Val had a three-month relationship with Amber Rose, who was Maks Chmerkovskiy’s dance partner on season 23. However, their romance eventually reignited afterwards.

beginning on October of this year, streaming platform ABC/Disney+ has decided to bring back Dancing with the Stars for a 34th round, with Jen Affleck, Alix Earle, Robert Irwin, and Whitney Leavitt as its new participants.

It remains undecided if either the Latin dance partner or their ballroom dancing counterpart will take part.

In 2011, when Val (originally named Valentin) joined DWTS during its 13th season, he’s gone on to earn an impressive three Len Goodman Mirrorball trophies since then.
