Jenna Bush Hager makes ‘crazy’ admission about her first pregnancy – after Hailey Bieber’s candid confession about motherhood
As a dedicated follower of celebrity news and someone who has gone through the experience of becoming a mother myself, I can relate to Jenna Bush Hager’s shocking admission about her doubts over loving her first child as much as her pet cat when she was pregnant. It’s not an uncommon feeling among expecting mothers, and it speaks to the deep bond we have with our pets and the fear of the unknown that comes with bringing a new life into the world.
Jenna Bush Hager has confessed that she had doubts about the depth of her love for her first child upon learning she was pregnant in 2012, compared to what she felt for her cherished pet cat.
On Wednesday’s episode of “Today with Hoda & Jenna,” I shared an unexpected confession with my dear co-host, Hoda, as we chatted about Hailey Bieber’s latest remarks regarding her upcoming motherhood.
When I spoke with W magazine, I shared how I felt at the start of our pregnancy. It was an extremely emotional time for me. I found myself thinking, “I adore this human – my husband, Justin Bieber – so deeply. But how can I bring another person into our world?” I’m cherishing these moments we have together as a couple before our family grows larger.
Hoda, age 59, and Jenna, age 42, expressed understanding towards Hailey. Hoda shared, “It truly alters the flow of your life in that regard,” to which Jenna nodded in agreement, adding, “Definitely does.”
Previously, the eldest daughter, who welcomed her first child Mila into the world in April 2013, shared an unexpected confession during an interview: “To be honest, and this might seem peculiar, but I found myself asking, ‘Could I possibly love anything as much as my cat Bernadette?'” The room filled with laughter from the film crew.

Jenna went on to say, “I mentioned this to my friend Crystal, feel free to contact her. At the time, she was my closest friend with kids. She responded with a laugh, ‘Jenna, your heart may have space, but don’t expect your cat to measure up.'”
Hoda was taken aback, exclaiming, “Wow, that really says a lot about your bond with cats. I had no idea it was that strong.”
Jenna continued, “I’ve heard from friends who made the transition from having one baby to two, and they wondered, ‘How can this be? How will I manage with less space?’ Did you ever experience something similar?”
Hoda, mother of Haley and Hope, expressed: “I had yearned for a child for such a long time that I hadn’t fully grasped it at first. But my heart has the remarkable capacity to grow larger than expected – there’s always more space.”
If you yearn for additional love in your life, there’s always the possibility. All you need to do is assess whether you have enough space and time. It could be adopting a puppy or making new acquaintances – it doesn’t matter. However, if you feel overwhelmed and believe that you have reached your limit, it’s essential to pay heed to this feeling.
Regarding Hailey, Jenna asserted, “She’s going to discover the truth, she’ll likely say goodbye to Justin, not just goodbye but also hello. It may bring them closer in an unusual way, yet we shouldn’t compare one relationship to another. Hailey will have room for both.”
In May, Hailey surprised her fans by revealing she was six months pregnant during an interview with W Magazine. She shared the story behind keeping her pregnancy a hidden gem for such a prolonged period.
“Hailey admitted to the magazine that she managed to keep things under wraps by staying low-key for an extended period.”

Until I reached the six-month mark of my pregnancy, I didn’t have a noticeable belly. It was then that I chose to share the news with others. I could still manage to wear larger jackets to conceal my growing baby bump.
Hailey added, “I had the option to conceal it longer. But I preferred not to keep my pregnancy a secret and experience the joy openly.”
Prior to making their relationship public, Justin’s wife felt uneasy about keeping a major secret hidden from the world.
‘I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life,’ she added.
