Jelly Roll flaunts mammoth weight loss after dropping 300 pounds ahead of 35 pound skin removal surgery

Jelly Roll showed off his incredible weight loss while exercising on Thursday.

Jason DeFord, the 41-year-old country rapper, was seen jogging in Los Angeles as he continues to focus on his health.

The singer, known for his song “Son of a Sinner,” looked winded as he ran with friends, clearly working hard on his fitness.

He was deeply focused while running, wearing a hoodie, sweatpants, and pale blue sneakers.

He’d shared before how he lost over half his body weight in less than four years, and he did it without using weight loss drugs like Ozempic.

The Grammy-winning artist, now weighing 265 pounds, recently mentioned he plans to have surgery to remove loose skin as a result of his significant weight loss.

He shared that he decided to get in shape because being over 500 pounds was seriously impacting his health and well-being.

He decided to get healthier and change his lifestyle because he noticed his weight was negatively impacting his energy, hormone levels, and general well-being.

Starting in 2020, as he focused on improving his health, he began therapy to overcome his issues with food, treating it like any other addiction.

He used to say he preferred to get in shape through diet and exercise, rather than using weight loss drugs or injections. He wanted to achieve his goals through effort and small changes to his daily routine.

He mentioned in April 2024 that he’d lost around 70 pounds in just a few months while on his Beautifully Broken tour.

Jelly Roll shared that he began a fitness journey by simply walking, which progressed to running, and ultimately led him to train for a 5K race. Throughout the year, he lost 100 pounds and maintained his progress by consistently walking or running between two and three miles each day.

He also shared that a significant part of his progress came from changing what he ate.

He revealed his weight-loss secret: focusing on meals packed with protein. He specifically mentioned enjoying things like spicy hot chicken cooked in bone broth and protein-rich poutine, which help you feel satisfied and full.

He also praised daily sauna sessions and cold plunges.

He recently told Extra that he’s feeling much healthier and has also become a more engaged and attentive father to his children.

He openly discussed not only his general well-being and mental health, but also his renewed sexual desire with his wife, saying he feels youthful and energetic again.

This follows his recent appearance at the Grammys with his wife, Bunnie Xo, who recently complimented his physical transformation.

Bunnie Xo, married to Jelly Roll since 2016, shared that his significant weight loss has changed him in ways that go beyond just how he looks.

The 46-year-old, who previously worked as an adult content creator and now hosts a podcast, recently told People magazine that she’s very attracted to him now, even admitting she ‘drools’ when she sees him.

She observed that he was truly living his life and seemed unburdened for the first time. It was as if he’d shed a weight he’d been carrying.

She described him as incredibly happy and free-spirited, like a little bee enjoying everything life has to offer and really succeeding at it.

She expressed her excitement about the future, particularly how things will unfold for him over the next decade, now that he has more freedom.

‘He was beautiful before, but now I catch myself drooling looking at him. He looks so good!’
