Jelly Roll claims cheating on his stunning wife Bunnie Xo was devastating for HIM

Let me tell you, as someone who’s seen a lot of relationships, honesty is everything. Jelly Roll recently shared that being unfaithful to his wife, Bunnie Xo, was a really low point for him – one of the worst experiences of his life, actually. It just goes to show, even when you’re successful, personal integrity is what truly matters.

The country singer, recently celebrated for losing 200 pounds while in Sydney, opened up about the subject in a new episode of the Human School podcast released on Tuesday.

Rapper Jelly Roll married Alyssa DeFord, known as Bunnie Xo, in 2016. The couple reaffirmed their commitment with a vow renewal ceremony in 2023.

You know, I rarely share this, but there was a really difficult time in my life when I made a huge mistake and was unfaithful to my wife. It’s something I deeply regret and don’t often talk about.

Honestly, hearing him talk about it really struck me. He said it was the first time he truly realized how deeply he felt – he just knew he was head over heels for her, and it completely floored him. It was such a raw and honest moment, and you could really feel the impact it had on him.

He shared that he put in a lot of effort to fix things with his wife, and described the process as deeply meaningful.

Jelly Roll told the podcast host that he and his partner are in a better place than ever before. He expressed a wish that their relationship hadn’t involved infidelity.

Look, I’m not going to pretend this was a good experience. But honestly, going through it has shown me just how strong and resilient we are as a team – and I couldn’t be prouder of the people we’ve become. It really changed us, and for that, I’m grateful, even though the situation itself wasn’t.

The performer admitted he was around a lot of people who were also being unfaithful to their spouses when he had his own affair.

I used to associate with people who shared my habits – when I was using cocaine, I was with others who were using, and when I was drinking heavily, I was around people who were also drinking a lot.

I used to think long friendships were impressive simply because of how many years they lasted. I was wrong – some of those people were actually awful.

‘But I would just be proud to say, “That dude’s been with me 12 years.” S****y human.’

Looking back, I realized I was at a point where I needed to be around people who lifted me up and encouraged me to grow. It wasn’t just about having fun anymore; I wanted friends who helped me become the best version of myself.

‘I wanted to be friends with people I wanted to be like,’ Jelly Roll expressed.

Although the specifics of the singer’s affair remain unclear, he and Bunnie had a short separation in 2018.

She mentioned the breakup in a TikTok video from last year, which featured cute photos of them together.

The media personality shared a video with a caption reflecting on their relationship: ‘It’s amazing to think that our breakup in 2018, my move back to Vegas, and you finding your way back to me all led to the incredible life we’ve built together.’

We made a commitment to each other and fulfilled the promises we’d made on our first night together back in 2016.

Okay, so Bunnie said the most amazing thing! She basically meant that everything we had before, all our little dreams… they had to fall apart so we could build something real and lasting. And then she said ‘I yuh you so mushhh!’ – it’s like, she loves me SO much, it’s overwhelming and adorable! It just… gets me, you know? It’s perfect.

The couple renewed their wedding vows in Las Vegas in 2023, returning to the same chapel where they first got married in 2016.

Bunnie and Jelly Roll first met in 2015 and became friends while Bunnie was dating someone else. After she ended that relationship, she and Jelly Roll began dating.

Last year, in an interview with Fox News Digital, the performer – known as Jason Bradley DeFord – shared the secret to a lasting marriage.

The star explained that open and honest communication is key to their marriage, saying they address difficult topics right away. ‘It’s really important,’ they emphasized.

Don’t sweat the small stuff. Let go of things quickly, and laugh often – it’s truly the best way to feel better.

Last June, Bunnie revealed she and her husband were starting IVF treatment. She shared a clip from his appearance on the ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ podcast, where he discussed their desire to have a baby.

We originally intended to keep this to ourselves, but we decided to share our IVF experience because we’ve always been open and honest about our lives, she explained.

‘And w/ all odds stacked against us, it’s already been hard & we have only just begun.’

We’re incredibly excited and a little nervous to share that we’re expecting! We honestly never planned on having more children, but something shifted this year, and we both feel strongly about expanding our family with a baby to join Bailee and Noah. We couldn’t be happier!

Jelly Roll already has two children: a 17-year-old daughter named Bailee and a 9-year-old son named Noah, both from past relationships.

The singer arrived in Sydney this week, ready to begin his first Australian tour, and revealed he’s lost an impressive 200 pounds.

The concert series begins on October 24th and wraps up with a final performance in New Zealand on November 8th.
