Jeff Ross Hospitalized After Allergic Reaction to Shocking Ice Cream Flavor
Funny man Jeff Ross had to be taken to the hospital last weekend due to an adverse reaction he experienced during his stand-up tour.
59-year-old comedian posted a collection of Instagram pictures from his hospital bed on Sunday, displaying his puffed-up face and lip.
Or, in a more conversational tone:
On Sunday, the 59-year-old comedian took to Instagram, sharing snaps taken from his hospital bed, showcasing his swollen face and lip.
As the go-to lifestyle guide, let me share an intriguing tidbit about my recent adventure. You know Ross, right? The one who caused quite a stir with his playful jab at Robert Kraft during Tom Brady’s roast? Well, it turns out that very same Ross ended up in the hospital after trying a brand-new flavor of burrata ice cream! Crazy, isn’t it? Foodie escapades can be quite unpredictable sometimes.
After performing his solo act, “Take a Banana for the Ride,” in Mill Valley, California, the festive mood between Ross and his band members quickly transformed into concern as he started experiencing discomfort and his face noticeably swelled up.
Prepare for some roasting! The show tonight at Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley, San Francisco, should definitely continue as planned! I had a blast with the opening night performance of @takeabananafortheride – what an amazing experience here in California!
Later on, my band and I enjoyed some scrumptious Burrata ice cream, courtesy of the kind proprietor, at a nearby eatery. Truly, it was mouthwatering delicious!
However, after eating it, things took a scary turn.
‘My lips blew up and I spent the entire night in the ER. It was my first allergic reaction ever.’
He commented, ‘That’s quite impressive given that I’m always quick to eat anything placed before me.’
Jeff continued, “I want to express my gratitude to the overnight team at MarinHealth Medical Center. They managed to barely overcook me, which is impressive considering I looked like Mickey Rourke after The Wrestler by the end of it.
In spite of the recent health obstacle I’ve encountered, I, a committed admirer, am sharing that Jeff has pledged to his followers he will grace the Mill Valley stage this very evening.
I’m planning to have a little rest and return to the stage in Mill Valley, near San Francisco, at 7:30 PM tonight.
As a devoted connoisseur, let me share my passion for this extraordinary creation: Burrata ice cream! This exquisite dessert merges the unique taste profile and luscious creaminess of burrata cheese within a sweet, or even savory, frozen canvas. It’s an unforgettable gastronomic experience that I simply can’t get enough of!
It’s not a traditional or common ice cream flavor, making it a more gourmet offering.
It’s unclear which component of the ice cream Jeff was allergic to.

If you have lactose intolerance or an allergy to cow’s milk protein, you might want to avoid Burrata, as it’s a dairy product made from cow’s milk.
The image he posted of the ice cream seemed to contain crushed pistachios on top, a substance often causing allergies among many people.
A few of Ross’ comedian pals didn’t miss the opportunity to roast him.
‘Didn’t even notice a difference,’ Josh Wolf joked in the comments.
‘The real housewives are asking for your beauty tips,’ Alex Hooper chimed in.
*”Backstreet Boy Joey Fatone posted: ‘I adore slow-moving creatures, particularly chunky ones… And I’ll always be here for you as your chunk! Wishing you a swift recovery, my friend.’
Kelly Rizzo, wife of the late actor Bob Saget, expressed concern: “Oh dear! What a shocking act, Burrata! I hope you’re feeling better soon! Sending you love!
Apart from his solo performance, Ross has been quite occupied this year, taking part in multiple roasting events, most notably the Roast of Tom Brady. A joke he told during this event, which was aimed at Brady, aged 47, generated significant attention and appeared to have sparked some displeasure in him.
Later on, Ross maintained that Brady wasn’t annoyed by his comment about Kraft – even though it seemed like the NFL great may have reacted angrily during the Netflix roast.

Brady told Ross, “Please avoid repeating those disrespectful remarks,” following Ross’ jab at the Patriots’ owner during the live broadcast.
Brady spoke to Ross and said, “Can you please refrain from making such comments again?” after Ross made a dig at the Patriots’ owner on stage.
In a turn of events, Tom transitioned to being a Patriot, relocated to New England, and on his first day at training camp, a newcomer, who was quite skinny, humorously approached the team’s owner Robert Kraft in his office, stating, “I am the best decision your organization has ever made… wouldn’t you like a massage?”, Ross playfully remarked.
The joke brought on a burst of laughter, yet Brady seemed unfazed, casually approaching Ross during his performance on stage.
After that, Ross has additionally featured in Torching 2024: The Year’s Roast and the Kill Tony podcast series.
