Jeff Brazier ‘SPLITS from wife Kate after “year from hell” with his son Freddy, 21,’ following bitter family feud and drug addiction as the youngster prepares to welcome his first child

Jeff Brazier and his wife, Kate, have reportedly separated again after a challenging year, particularly concerning their son Freddy. The couple briefly split in late 2022 but got back together seven months later.

The 21-year-old son of the 46-year-old TV presenter and the late Jade Goody has recently reconciled with his father after a difficult family disagreement.

Jeff thought about going to court to prevent his son from seeing his maternal grandmother, Jackiey Budden, because he wanted to protect him.

Freddy, who is going to be a father with his girlfriend Holly Swinburn, said Jackiey introduced him to drugs. He then hinted that he had attempted suicide by deliberately crashing his car during a period of extreme mental distress.

Reports indicate that 35-year-old PR professional Kate left the home she shared with her husband three weeks ago. Jeff has suggested on social media that their seven-year marriage is ending.

He recently shared photos of his new rural home, explaining that he’s going through a period of change and is enjoying a peaceful lifestyle.

Jeff, who is also a father to his 22-year-old son Bobby, was seen without his wedding ring while reporting live from Reykjavik on Monday’s Good Morning Britain. Kate Garraway was also reportedly seen without her wedding ring after traveling to Las Vegas for the Grand Prix.

Kate has reportedly moved back to her apartment in Hackney following a growing distance between her and Jeff, especially with their son Freddy facing difficulties.

Daily Mail have contacted Jeff’s representatives for comment.

During a family dispute in June, Freddy seemed to criticize Kate by sharing a list of things he dislikes, which included ‘step parents’.

After getting back together, the publicist shared that she initially felt like her marriage to Jeff was failing. However, she then realized that all couples face difficulties.

She shared her views on marriage when a fan asked for help with their struggling relationship.

She admitted that everyone tends to present a perfect image on social media. She believes it’s dishonest when people claim marriage and parenting are simple, and she personally felt like she was failing until she understood that everyone faces challenges.

I value my privacy when it comes to our relationship, but I’m so thankful my husband and I both actively work on ourselves and on making our relationship strong. That’s all anyone could really ask for.

In August, Freddy announced he was going to be a father and promised to make positive changes in his life, including repairing his relationship with his dad.

The influencer’s mother, Jade, passed away from cervical cancer when he was only four years old, tragically on Mother’s Day in 2009.

After Jade passed away, her mother, Jackiey, stepped in to help raise Bobby and Freddy. However, she and Jeff haven’t always gotten along over the years.

Recently, Freddy admitted to not eating and instead using cannabis, often referred to as ‘green,’ as a substitute for food.

He shared a picture of his grandmother, Jackiey, and revealed he’d been focusing on building a relationship with her, unaware she had been deceiving him for years.

Freddy shared a video showing himself walking down the street in a bathrobe. He followed it with a clip of an ambulance and explained that he experienced a series of difficult episodes, ultimately leading to his admission to a psychiatric ward where he spent his 18th birthday.

I was really shocked to hear Freddy share that he went through such a difficult time a couple of years ago. He revealed he was in the middle of a really intense mental health crisis – a manic episode – and actually drove his car with the intention of ending his life. It’s incredibly brave of him to talk about it, and I’m sending him all my support.

He shared a moving video on TikTok detailing his difficult experiences, using a computer-generated voice to explain the model’s battle with mental health issues.

In a recent video, Freddy shared that he was in a psychiatric ward on his 18th birthday, which made him realize he needed to make some changes in his life.

The video started with a computer-generated voice explaining that 2.5 years prior, the speaker had crashed a car while experiencing a mental health crisis and attempting suicide.

He wrote in the caption: ‘It’s been two and a half years, and I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come. I’m excited to finally share my story.’

He described the moment he knew he needed to make a change, explaining, ‘I suddenly realized things had to be different, so I started making an effort to go out more.’

He then decided to improve his diet and concentrate on strengthening his relationships with close friends, while also making time for self-care.

The video then featured clips of his daily life: going to events, working out at the gym, and eating healthy lunches. Text on the screen highlighted his focus on self-care, including improving his diet, spending time outside of London, exercising, keeping a small social circle, enjoying time with his dog, and prioritizing skincare and self-love.

Earlier this year, Jeff thought about going to court to limit contact between his son, Freddy, and his grandmother, believing it was necessary for Freddy’s safety.

It seems Jeff and his son have resolved their differences. Jeff publicly wished his son a happy birthday in September and assured him he’ll always be supportive.

In a clip from his podcast, Load Of Old Cobblers, Freddy revealed he started smoking at age 12 and has struggled with his mental health, including experiencing manic episodes and requiring both rehab and psychiatric hospitalization.

‘There’s been a real journey and it’s been a tough one.’
