Jeep Reimagines Its Military Roots with the Gladiator Convoy Concept

Jeep has introduced the Convoy Concept, a rugged tribute to its historical collection of military and civilian trucks, tracing back to its roots. Constructed on the 2025 Gladiator Mojave base, this concept vehicle takes its inspiration directly from the 1963 Gladiator SJ and J-Series trucks, combining vintage design elements with contemporary off-road performance.

The Convoy Concept stands out with its Ghost Ops matte exterior, featuring a unique “J-truck” hood and an exclusive seven-slot grille illuminated by amber LED headlights. A prominent 12,000-lb Warn Zeon winch is positioned at the front, while half-doors made of chocolate brown canvas and a matching canopy give it a vintage utilitarian look. High-clearance flares fit the 40-inch BFGoodrich Krawler tires, which are mounted on 17-inch Warn wheels.

Within, the Convoy emulates old-school military toughness through Mil Spec O.D. Green floor bedlinings and components. The low-back, worn-out brown leather seats further accentuate the retro vibe, creating a functional yet well-lived-in atmosphere. As of now, Jeep has not disclosed any intentions to manufacture this concept as a commercial vehicle.
