Jean Smart Leads Star-Studded Telethon for LA Fire Victims – Don’t Miss It!

Actress Jean Smart, known from the series “Hacks”, is among the well-known personalities set to feature in a live broadcast event aiming to collect donations for those affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m thrilled to share that I will be joining forces with the talented Ben Schwartz from Parks and Recreation, the charismatic Josh Brolin known for his role in Dune, and the esteemed Ke Huy Quan – an Oscar-winning star – for a unique live event called LA Wildfire Relief LIVE. This program aims to gather funds for those impacted by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. Let’s come together to make a difference!

Michael Wasserman, CEO of Tiltify – the platform driving the fundraising event – stated: ‘Bringing together content creators, TV stars, musicians, and film personalities for a contemporary telethon is our aim to help those fighting fires and assist communities in their difficult tasks of healing and rebuilding.’

On January 24th, the telethon will air live directly from the luxurious Rosewood Residences located in the heart of Beverly Hills, California.

The broadcast is set to be aired on multiple platforms such as YouTube and Twitch, and it has already amassed over $350,000 in donations.

YouTub star Sean ‘Jacksepticeye’ McLoughlin has donated $100,000.

American tennis player Taylor Fritz donated approximately $80,000 he earned from the initial round of the Australian Open to the charity instead.

Fritz, 27, said of the donation: ‘I just want everyone to stay safe, it’s insane what happened.

‘I’m going to be donating my first round prize money to LA wildfire relief funds.

It’s only fitting that I contribute, given that Southern California, particularly Los Angeles, has been my home for many years. So, I’m simply doing whatever I can to lend a hand.

Besides the telethon, notable musicians will also perform at a charity concert to gather funds for disaster relief initiatives across Southern California.

As a die-hard fan, I can barely contain my excitement as Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Stevie Nicks, Katy Perry, and Sting are all set to grace the stages at the FireAid event! This unmissable event will be taking place at none other than the Inuit Dome and Kia Forum in the heart of Los Angeles on January 30. I can hardly wait for this extraordinary night filled with music and hope!

Additional artists confirmed for the concert are Joni Mitchell, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Jelly Roll, Pink, Rod Stewart, as well as duo acts Dave Matthews and John Mayer.

Or, in a more conversational style:

The lineup for the show also features some big names like Joni Mitchell, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Jelly Roll, Pink, Rod Stewart – and if that wasn’t enough, you’ve got Dave Matthews and John Mayer teaming up to perform together!

A few days have passed since Smart called upon television broadcasters and streaming services to rethink their plans to show award ceremonies, given the destruction caused by the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.

The celebrity (who has 159K followers on Instagram) expressed a sentiment along the lines of: “Respectfully, as we approach Hollywood’s award season, I hope that any broadcast networks airing these awards might give thought to not doing so.

‘And [donate] the revenue they would have garnered to victims of the fires and the firefighters.’

A number of well-known personalities have unfortunately had their homes destroyed in the disaster. These include Anna Faris, Cary Elwes, Paris Hilton, Diane Warren, Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, Eugene Levy, Miles Teller, Billy Crystal, and Adam Brody.
