Jean-Claude Van Damme DELAYS his Supanova appearance just hours before – and fans are furious

Okay, so this is a bit of a bummer for a lot of people! As someone who keeps an eye on pop culture events, I’m hearing that Jean-Claude Van Damme had to cancel his appearance at the Supanova convention in Brisbane very last minute – like, at midnight the night before! Naturally, fans who were excited to meet him are pretty upset, and I totally get why. It’s disappointing when something you’re looking forward to falls through, especially when it’s so close to the event.

The 65-year-old Belgian martial artist was scheduled to appear at the comic and gaming convention on Saturday, but organizers announced just hours before that his appearance would be delayed.

A representative announced on Instagram that the actor would miss his scheduled one-day appearance due to travel issues.

We’re currently working with Radioactive Pictures to try and reschedule his visit for Sunday, if that’s feasible,” they explained.

Someone suggested offering those with photo tickets the chance to move their tickets to Sunday, rather than giving them a refund.

Someone else dismissed the idea of travel being complicated, saying that if your transportation is already booked and arranged, there really aren’t any problems.

This follows Jean-Claude Van Damme’s recent reconciliation with Steven Seagal, ending a thirty-year-long disagreement that excited fans earlier in the year.

Fans were surprised in April when the two martial arts stars, who used to be rivals, were photographed together at a birthday party for Steven.

The two action stars had a long-standing feud, so the unexpected picture of them making peace shocked and delighted fans, with some reacting so strongly they claimed it felt unreal, like something created by artificial intelligence.

When Steven was most popular in the 1990s, he often used interviews to publicly criticize Jean-Claude, claiming he wasn’t a legitimate martial artist.

The action star, known for his intense roles in 90s films like Under Siege, Marked for Death, and On Deadly Ground, has often publicly claimed he could easily defeat Jean-Claude Van Damme in a fight.

He went so far as to mock an interviewer who called him a ‘tough guy’ and skilled martial artist, even threatening to laugh at them.

On April 10th, Jean-Claude posted a video on Instagram showing him with Steven, where he called Steven a ‘good friend’ and wished him a happy birthday while putting his arm around him.
