JD Launches Four Exclusive Colorways of the New Balance 740

JD has once again teamed up with New Balance to reimagine the 740 silhouette in new colorways.

After the special launches such as the 1000, the 9060 led by Cat Burns, and 1906 by Loyle Carner, the store carries on its extended collaboration with the athletic apparel and culture company by offering distinctive drops.

Or:

The retailer maintains its long-term alliance with the sports and lifestyle brand through exclusive drops following releases like the 1000, the 9060 from Cat Burns, and 1906 by Loyle Carner, featuring unique items.

After being brought back from storage, the reissued 740 model retains significant design aspects from its 2000s counterpart. Featuring a sneaker shape inspired by running with an open knit mesh upper, split midsole, and sleek construction, the two-tone overlays offer a striking accent to this versatile shoe. For this latest release, the collection comes in four fresh, monochromatic colorways: “Pearl Grey,” “Sea Salt,” “Slate Grey,” and “Timberwolf.” These will be exclusively available at JD Sports.

In this campaign, Ayra Starr is the featured star. As a Nigerian artist, she models the 740 brand in an everyday setting, demonstrating its versatility with a minimalist, casual outfit.

At the end of last month, JD and New Balance organized an exclusive gathering to mark the launch of their latest sneaker design, the 740. This event was not only a platform to unveil various colorways of the shoe but also offered visitors an interactive experience. The evening featured live performances by artists such as Ayra Starr, who showcased her unique blend of genres, along with headline DJ Skyla Tylaa and other local talents.
