Jay Leno is on the mend as he leads the stars at amfAR Las Vegas with made-up face after serious fall
As a dedicated follower, I am always in awe of Jay Leno’s resilience and determination. The man is a true testament to the phrase “The show must go on.” Despite suffering a serious fall and a horrific burn incident, he continues to perform with unparalleled enthusiasm. It seems like every time he faces adversity, he emerges stronger and more vibrant than before.
On Friday, it seemed that Jay Leno was recovering well, as he made an appearance at amfAR’s first-ever charity event in Las Vegas, following a severe fall.
Over the past few days, the ex-late-night talk show host, aged 74, has been spotted with an unsettling black-and-blue mark on his face. This injury is believed to have resulted from a fall of approximately 60 feet down a slope in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
At the event, Leno appeared cheerful, sporting a navy blue suit and a patterned shirt that coordinated well with it on the red carpet.
The seasoned comedian showed off his well-known grin, noticeably reducing the signs of wear and tear on his face, probably due to the use of makeup to hide any visible harm.
After last week’s event, he shared with Inside Edition that he fractured his wrist and lost a fingernail. He also mentioned that he is covered in bruises due to a fall from about 60 feet while landing on rocks.
In spite of having taken a severe fall earlier, the experienced performer put on a show in Greensburg only a few hours afterwards.
Jay eventually traveled home to Los Angeles where he performed again on Sunday night.
The Hollywood fixture said earlier this week that he hadn’t yet seen a doctor but planned to.
Two years have passed since a vintage 1907 engine I was meticulously tinkering with unexpectedly detonated, leaving burns all over my face.
During that period, Leno ended up in the hospital due to the fiery blast that occurred at his personal garage, a place where he stores his classic cars.
Later on, George Swift, who works at the garage, shared with ET that it was actually a steam-powered vehicle that caused Leno’s hospitalization.
According to the car expert, it was a steam-powered vehicle. The steam came from compressed gas, which was then sprayed out as gas.
The employee mentioned that someone phoned him, informing him about a fire, and he said that the fire department was on its way.
Also at Friday evening’s star-studded gathering was Sylvester Stallone, 78.
The studly Rocky actor was joined by his family — wife Jennifer Flavin and their three daughters.
Sophia (age 28), Sistine (age 26), and Scarlet (age 22) joined their parents, each one elegantly dressed in fashionable outfits.
Stallone and Flavin’s youngest daughter even brought along boyfriend Louis Masquelier-Page.
In September, a $24.95 million mansion with eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms in East Hampton, New York was secured by Sylvester as a purchase for his daughters, based on reports from the New York Post.
Besides having daughters, he is also the dad of two sons – Seargeoh (aged 45) and Sage (who passed away at 36 due to coronary artery disease in July 2012) – with his first wife, Sasha Czack.
