Jason Statham’s new action movie finally confirms release date

The long-awaited movie titled “Mutiny“, featuring stars like Jason Statham and Annabelle Wallis, has at last set its launch date.

In this fast-paced, suspenseful movie, Statham takes on the role of Cole Reed, a previous member of Special Forces and police officer, who becomes a fugitive when falsely accused of murdering his wealthy industrialist superior. During his escape, he stumbles upon a grand global conspiracy.

Fans have been excitedly waiting since November to catch another glimpse of Statham in action, and their wait is finally coming to an end. The US theatrical release for the movie has been scheduled for January 9, 2026 (as reported by Deadline).

Besides Statham and Wallis, the cast for Mutiny also features Jason Wong, Roland Møller, Arnas Fedaravičius, and Adrian Lester. Jean-François Richet (known for Plane) will be directing this film, based on a script penned by Lindsay Michel and JP Davis.

Although the release of Mutiny is yet to come to the big screen, you’ll soon have a chance to watch Statham in A Working Man. This film marks another collaboration between the action star and director David Ayer, who previously worked together on The Beekeeper .

The movie, adapted from Chuck Dixon’s 2014 novel “Levon’s Trade,” features Jason Statham portraying Levon Cade, a man who once served in the Royal Marines and is now living a tranquil life as a construction worker after leaving his military days behind.

Yet, due to circumstances, Levon must rely on his past abilities to track down his employer’s daughter, Jenny (played by Arianna Rivas), after she is abducted. As he delves deeper into the case, Levon eventually discovers a web of corruption, implicating various government bodies and human trafficking networks.

In addition to Statham and Rivas, David Harbour, Michael Peña, Jason Flemyng, Noemi Gonzalez, and Emmett J Scanlan have also been added to the cast. Notably, Sylvester Stallone, famous for his role in Rocky, is collaborating on the screenplay with Ayer.

The film titled “Mutiny” is set to hit theaters on January 9, 2026. On the other hand, the movie called “A Working Man” is slated for release on March 28.
