The action thriller starring Jason Statham has been rescheduled for release by Lionsgate. It was initially removed from the calendar in August to make room for Greenland 2: Migration, which will now premiere on January 9, 2026.
The film Mutiny is now scheduled for release in theaters on August 21, 2026. Currently, the only other movie planned for that date is the next installment in Sony and Blumhouse’s Insidious series. Mutiny stars Jason Statham as Cole Reed, a former Special Forces operative and NYPD officer who now works in private security. When Cole witnesses the murder of his wealthy employer and is wrongly accused, he sets out on a mission for revenge aboard a cargo ship, only to uncover a much larger international conspiracy.
The cast of Mutiny, directed by Jean-François Richet and written by Lindsay Michel and J.P. Davis, also includes Annabelle Wallis, Roland Møller, Ramon Tikaram, Arnas Fedaravičius, Jason Wong, and Adrian Lester.
