Jason Statham’s “high-stakes” thriller with Peaky Blinders star gets action-packed trailer

Sky has just dropped the trailer for Mutiny, a new action movie with Jason Statham. Expect plenty of his signature fight scenes – this time, all taking place on a ship!

The story centers on Cole Reed, played by Jason Statham, a police officer who takes matters into his own hands to stop a ship involved in human trafficking.

The trailer shows one of the villains attempting to bribe Reed, but it doesn’t work. This mission is driven by personal revenge, as he’s determined to get payback.

I’m so excited about the cast! They’ve got Adrian Lester from Hustle, Ramon Tikaram who I remember from EastEnders, Annabelle Wallis who was amazing in Peaky Blinders, Jason Wong from The Gentleman, Roland Møller of Atomic Blonde, and even Arnas Fedaravičius who’s currently in the new season of The White Lotus! It’s a seriously talented group.

The new movie is directed by Jean-François Richet, who also directed the film Plane starring Gerard Butler. Jason Statham was a producer on the project.

Sky’s Andrew Orr expressed excitement about collaborating with Jason Statham once more, following the strong performance of their previous film, The Beekeeper.

Viewers are really into exciting, high-quality action movies, and Mutiny doesn’t disappoint. It’s a thrilling, fast-moving film made by a talented team, making it a great fit for Sky’s collection of original movies.

Statham is set to star in a follow-up to The Beekeeper and another action movie directed by Guy Ritchie.

He’s about to begin filming a movie where he portrays an actor known for playing tough guys—specifically, he’s playing Jason Statham in a film called Jason Statham Stole My Bike.

I’m really excited about this new movie! It’s being directed by the same guy who did Deadpool 2, David Leitch, and from what I’ve heard, it’s going to be a super fun action-comedy – the kind that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

The film Mutiny will be in UK cinemas from August 21st, and will be available on Sky Cinema and NOW later in 2024.

The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant 100-page tribute to Sir David Attenborough, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online.
