The movie features the actor playing Michael Mason, a retired government assassin trying to live a peaceful life on a secluded island in Scotland. His tranquility is disrupted when a young girl named Jessie is left without anyone to look after her due to a tragic accident.
Taking care of the little girl puts Michael in danger, forcing him to flee with Jessie. As he tries to protect her, his troubled history begins to catch up with him.
