Jason Statham Shows Incredible Stunt Prowess At 57 By Diving Off A Yacht, And Vin Diesel And Ludacris Have Thoughts

It might surprise many that Jason Statham is not just recognized as an action movie star from films like Crank, The Meg, and The Beekeeper, or his roles within the Fast And Furious series, but also has a deep-rooted background in diving. Before he made it big with Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and even before his modeling career, Statham spent around a dozen years on Britain’s National Swimming Squad and participated in various events at the 1990 Commonwealth Games.

As a movie enthusiast, it’s far from surprising to scroll through an Instagram feed bursting with holiday snaps and spot images of my favorite actor executing death-defying dives off a luxurious yacht – yet, there’s a certain charm in witnessing the affectionate banter exchanged by his Fast & Furious co-stars in the comments section below. Take a peek at the gallery of photos beneath for a glimpse into their shared camaraderie.

It’s likely that you wouldn’t have guessed Jason Statham’s past as a professional diver without knowing it, but his first picture suggests he has some connection to the sport. Although he may be far from his swimming prime, the pose in the photo shows the technique of an Olympic athlete (and bravo to the unnamed photographer!).

Regarding these vacation snaps, I’d venture to guess Vin Diesel might have shared some thoughts. Interestingly enough, he doesn’t seem to address Jason Statham’s diving finesse or jet ski maneuvers. Instead, his attention appears to be drawn towards the company Jason is keeping, echoing a recurring sentiment he’s emphasized before – the camaraderie and brotherhood that lies at the heart of the Fast & Furious saga.

Family…

Perfectly on brand.

In a different comment, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges acknowledged Jason Statham’s athletic past and praised his continued skills using just three admiring words and two knowing emojis.

Still got it 🏊‍♂️ 🫡

It’s enjoyable to watch Jason Statham, Vin Diesel, and Ludacris engage on social platforms… yet what I truly yearn for is another reunion of Deckard Shaw, Dominic Torretto, and Tej Parker. Regrettably, a definitive answer about that is still elusive, but at least we now have a release timeframe for “Fast X: Part 2” or “Fast and Furious 11”. Recently, Diesel mentioned at an event in Southern California that Universal Pictures intends to launch the movie around April 2027. This suggests that filming might start towards the end of next year or early 2026.

In a return to the director’s seat following the filming of Fast X, Louis Leterrier is set to be at the helm once more. Vin Diesel has made three guarantees regarding the sequel: the action will shift back to Los Angeles, the narrative will revolve around car culture again, and Dom will share an on-screen reunion with Brian O’Conner, a character played by Paul Walker who last appeared in a Fast & Furious movie following his tragic death during the production of Furious 7. The film also has the task of wrapping up numerous plot threads left hanging in the previous installment, such as the return of Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbes; the revival of Gal Gadot’s Gisele Yashar; the outcome of the flight carrying Tej, Roman (Tyrese Gibson), Han (Sung Kang), and Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel); and the predicament Dom and his son found themselves in beneath a collapsing dam.
