The British drama The Salt Path, which sparked quite a bit of discussion earlier this year, is now available to watch on Prime Video. It was previously only available to purchase or rent.
You can choose between two Prime options: a video-only plan for £5.99 per month, or the complete Prime membership with benefits like free delivery for £8.99 monthly or £95 annually.
Featuring Jason Isaacs, known from The White Lotus season 3, and Gillian Anderson of Trespasses, The Salt Path tells the story of a couple facing financial hardship and health issues who decide to walk the South West Coast Path as they try to rebuild their lives.

The movie was widely advertised as being inspired by the real-life experiences of Raynor Winn, who also wrote the popular book it’s based on.
The disagreement started because Winn was accused of making up details about what happened after the movie came out.

So, I was reading an article in The Observer last month, and it basically said that Renee Winn wasn’t telling the truth about a lot of things. Apparently, she lied about being homeless, what actually happened with her house being taken away, and even about her husband Moth’s health issues. It’s pretty shocking stuff, honestly.
Winn rejected all accusations made against her, describing them as very misleading. She also stated she was consulting with a lawyer.
The issue has gained significant attention, and a documentary about it, called The Salt Path Scandal, will be shown on Sky Documentaries tonight at 9pm.
Now that the movie is streaming, it’s a great time to watch it alongside the documentary as a pair.

Despite all the controversy surrounding the film, a positive outcome is that it reunited Isaacs and Anderson, and they’re already planning to work together again.
Filming has wrapped on the coming-of-age drama The Julia Set, a story about a gifted mathematician navigating the challenges of university life.
The Salt Path can be streamed via Prime Video.
