Janice Dickinson blasts ‘motherf***ers’ ITV as she makes ‘explosive new claim’ over her I’m A Celebrity injury just days after she launched a lawsuit

Janice Dickinson is criticizing ITV, claiming she was injured during her time on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ and revealing new details about the incident.

I was so upset when I heard about Janice Dickinson having to leave ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ South Africa. Apparently, she tripped and hurt her head and face while it was dark at the camp, and sadly, she couldn’t continue. It was awful to hear she was injured like that.

She has now filed a personal injury claim against ITV at the High Court, seeking damages.

The TV star shared that she fell while filming in October 2022. She was trying to find the restroom in the dark and tripped, landing flat on her face.

She initially believed her own naiveté was to blame and stated ITV covered her salary and medical expenses. However, recent developments have revealed new details about the situation.

The star has accused ITV of negligence and claims she was not properly safeguarded during filming.

After Janice was bitten, she needed three rabies shots. Initially, ITV didn’t want to pay for the treatment, according to The Sun.

She also claimed they failed to contact her directly once she had returned home to Los Angeles.

As a longtime viewer, it really upset me to hear Janice describe what happened. She said ITV needs to own up to what occurred, and she was in terrible shape – she described being badly injured, with cuts and blood all over her face. It’s heartbreaking to think about, and I truly believe the network needs to address this.

‘Those motherf***s left me there bleeding in the dark for ten minutes.

‘ITV had a duty of care and they let me down big time.’

ITV said they will review Janice’s allegations once they receive the full details. They emphasized that safety is their top concern on ‘I’m a Celebrity,’ and the well-being of everyone involved is their highest priority.

We disagree with this account of what happened. However, we did provide care for Janice, covered her medical bills, and arranged for her to return to Los Angeles. The ‘I’m A Celebrity’ team stayed in consistent communication with Janice and her representatives for seven months after she went home, until after the show finished airing.

Just days ago, Janice’s representative, Dermot McNamara, told the Daily Mail that she has filed a claim with the High Court regarding her time on ‘I’m a Celebrity: South Africa.’ She plans to share all the details of her experience soon.

After the campfire went out and it got really dark, I felt uneasy. I decided to walk to the outhouse, hoping I could find my way from memory, as I told The Sun’s TV Mag at the time.

I took a few steps and suddenly tripped, falling face-first. I ended up with hair in my eyes, a bloody nose, and a badly cut chin.

I was bleeding heavily from several cuts, and my face was covered in dirt and small stones from the impact of the fall.

She described feeling a severe headache, rating the pain around a nine out of ten, and simply lying there, groaning. She explained it was a sudden, unexpected accident.

Fortunately, Janice was discovered by her fellow campers, Fatima Whitbread and Phil Tuffnell. They immediately helped her up and escorted her back to the campsite.

The American athlete was visibly in a lot of pain, crying and complaining, so she was helped back to her lodging. A medical professional then arrived to examine her condition.

Janice remembered being brought to the medical hut, where they washed her wounds and gave her something for the pain.

An ambulance took her to a small, remote hospital, providing head and chin compresses during the journey. Her husband, Robert Gerner, who was in South Africa at the time, was notified of the situation.

My husband didn’t react at all when he saw me – I figured he was just used to seeing my tired, wrinkled face, like he does every morning. But then he squeezed my hand really tightly, and I knew something was wrong, she told TV Mag.

It was a genuine mistake, but thankfully ITV covered my medical expenses when I returned to Los Angeles.

I needed to see a specialist for my injuries and underwent laser treatment five days a week to help them heal faster. It was expensive, but thankfully ITV covered the costs, which I really appreciate.

You know, I’ve noticed something interesting lately. If you look closely, you can still see a little dent on my forehead – it’s a reminder of something that happened, and honestly, I don’t think it’ll ever fully disappear. It’s just one of those little things that makes me, well, me!

The actress said she wished she could have gone back to the set, but she agreed with the producers’ decision to keep her away.

She explained that she was still shocked a day later, and believed the other people camping wouldn’t have been able to cope with what happened.

I’m A Celeb is returning to South Africa for a second All Stars spin-off series in 2026.

The popular jungle show is getting a follow-up! This new version, which started in 2023, will bring back some of the most beloved contestants from past seasons to compete in the South African bush.

Ant and Dec are currently filming in South Africa, and the celebrity contestants have also arrived to record the show in advance.

Oh my gosh, I’m absolutely losing it! Everyone’s saying – and I *need* it to be true – that Gemma Collins, Harry Redknapp, David Haye, Craig Charles, and Ashley Roberts are all going BACK into the jungle! ITV hasn’t officially said anything yet, which is TORTURE, but all the reports are pointing to them! I’m already counting down the days!
