Janette Manrara Breaks Down in Tears Over Family Farewell Before Chicago Tour

On a touching Instagram post on Monday, Janette Manrara dabbed at tears as she said goodbye to her husband Aljaz Skorjanec and their daughter Lyra, preparing for a poignant separation.

Last week, the star from Strictly Come Dancing, who’s 41 years old, became part of the traveling ensemble for the musical Chicago, and starting this coming Tuesday, they will be performing a series of shows in Ireland.

Following her shows at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Janette is set to travel to Belfast, where she’ll perform at the Grand Opera House from March 17th until the 22nd.

Previously, the star mentioned that she wouldn’t be meeting Aljaz or Lyra for the next fortnight. Instead, she has chosen to spend time with her family in Slovenia during those days.

In a fresh video uploaded to her Instagram Stories, Janette disclosed that she’d said goodbye to her family before embarking on her tour performances, and extended a message to fellow working parents.

She mentioned: “Hey everyone! I recently bid farewell to Aljaž and Lyra, and unfortunately, I won’t be seeing them for the next fortnight. However, sharing our feelings can help lift everyone’s spirits.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I must admit, the absence of Lyra has left quite a void in my life these days. Every moment seems longer as I eagerly await the day when our paths cross once more. I can’t help but start the mental countdown to that joyful reunion.

In the interim, I’ll keep my strength up and believe that Mommy will be proud of me. She’s going to have a fantastic time with her relatives and grandmother in Slovenia.

Hey there fellow parents, I totally get how you feel when you have to part ways with your little ones due to work or other reasons. It’s never easy, I promise you that! But remember, we’re all in this together and we’ve got the strength to navigate through these tough times. We’ve got this!

In addition to the video, Janette also posted a note for her audience, saying: “Sharing always lifts my spirits. I hope it assists fellow working parents as well. Although it’s tough, we can handle it.

Janette previously spoke about being away from Lyra during an appearance on The One Show.

She mentioned that, although it doesn’t exactly make her anxious, it does give her a slight sense of fear – the length of the contract and being separated from her are the reasons for this feeling.

Aljaž plans to visit numerous venues and cities, including Blackpool. We’ll be bringing our show back to Blackpool.

I’ve previously visited that place exclusively with Strictly, so a trip there with Chicago would be intriguing. I plan to bring them along whenever possible, and during my days off, I will return home to spend as much quality time with her as I can.

On the latest Strictly tour, Janette shared that it takes a whole community to care for Lyra while she and Aljaz were busy working, as she called upon different family members to assist.

Beyond just my mom, I was fortunate to have my sister, brother-in-law, and even my parents pitch in to assist me during this time. Their support made all the difference.

In a recent social media update, Janette shared: “Traveling with @strictlycomedancinglive is fantastic, however, I’ve emphasized before that ensuring Lyra’s happiness and safety requires the help of many – it truly takes a community.

Last week, it was my Aunt Lara Jubic and Uncle Nejc Jubic, along with their wonderful children, who graciously stepped up to care for me. To put it simply, I had an absolutely fantastic time! A big thank you goes out to my remarkable sister-in-law and her husband for their exceptional kindness. We adore you both, and I can’t wait until we meet again soon!

During the last week of the Strictly Live Tour, it was delightful to have Aljaz Skorjanec’s parents step in as childcare for Lyra during the shows. They thoroughly enjoyed their time and I received numerous updates filled with pictures of Lyra grinning from ear to ear.

I want to express my gratitude to both @natasaskorjanec and Srečko for being fantastic grandparents, creating wonderful memories with Lyra while mom and dad were working. It’s always said that it takes a village, and knowing that Lyra is surrounded by so much love even when we are apart truly warms my heart.

Following the recent scandal involving Janette and Wynne Evans, where Wynne was dismissed from the Strictly live tour due to a distasteful comment he made about her.

In the previous month, the 53-year-old opera singer resigned from the tour following The Mail On Sunday’s disclosure of his offensive comment regarding Janette, which was made during a photo session for the tour and referred to her in a derogatory manner as being subjected to a ‘spit roast’.

In the Mail On Sunday’s video, Wynne is noticeable among a group of twenty celebrities and dancers. As the host of Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, Janette, is called over to join them.

As she approaches, Wynne warns her with a grin: ‘Not too close to Jamie [Borthwick]!’

Later, he subtly makes a flirtatious expression towards the actor, when Janette isn’t looking and is moving between them. At that moment, Wynne tells his crude joke, aimed at making fun of Janette.

Moments after, her dance-partner husband Aljaz, positioned not far off, inquires, “Sweetheart, are you alright?” To which she briefly responds, “Yes.

Wynne has decided, in accordance with the BBC, to abandon his upcoming tour and all other professional obligations for a while, to “take a break” due to an unsuitable comment that seems likely to ruin his entire career.
