As a seasoned entertainment journalist, I’ve covered countless Hollywood deals and I can confidently say that the star is nearing the end of finalizing her contract this week. It was TMZ who first broke the news about the shows, and based on my experience in this industry, it seems like this deal is almost a done deal.

Reports additionally state that the artist known for “Velvet Rope” hits will reportedly celebrate New Year’s at a specific venue with a unique New Year’s Eve show.

It’s said that Janet declined a residence offer in London as she found a better-paying opportunity in Vegas instead.

She recently wrapped her much-anticipated Together Again Tour which saw her hitting 35 dates.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m excited to share that I’ve heard Celine Dion is in the final stages of negotiating a residency at a venue, with performances slated to begin as early as November 2025 or perhaps even earlier, depending on her ongoing battle against stiff person syndrome. Here’s hoping for a successful comeback from this iconic artist!

Dion last performed live during her Courage world tour in Newark, New Jersey on March 8 20220.

She then canceled her tour amid the Covid pandemic.

Previously, she held two record-setting Las Vegas residencies – one called “A New Day” from 2003 to 2007, and another named “Celine” from 2011 to 2019.

Last month during the Paris Olympics opening ceremony, the star returned to the stage and amazed spectators with her rendition of “Hymne à L’amour”, a song famously performed by the legendary French musician Edith Piaf.

Last month, Janet shared insights about dealing with the passing of her brother Michael Jackson, who died in June 2009 – approximately 15 years ago.

The performer-actress spoke to the BBC about their 1995 project Scream, which served as Michael’s first big comeback following the 1993 accusations of child sexual abuse, an event that greatly affected his personal life and professional trajectory.

During her current Together Again tour, which has earned her a Grammy, the artist emotionally sings the song in front of an audience. Simultaneously, she displays video clips of her deceased brother. Each night, as she listens to him and watches him, she is filled with memories of them both.

The entertainer from Gary, Indiana recalled writing the song with her deceased brother in New York, specifically at his apartment.

Janet mentioned that she often finds herself re-experiencing ‘the entire voyage, with him singing along’ and remembering ‘his experiences during that period’ as he worked tirelessly to restore his name and professional standing, battling against those serious allegations.

“Janet remarked, ‘Given that I am his younger sister, constantly at his side, providing him with support.’ That has always been my function,” she added.

On the track, Michael voiced his discontent over the consequences of the allegations and the publicity surrounding the matter. His lyrics expressed: ‘I’m weary of inequalities, I’m weary of your deceitful plots/ Your untruths are repulsive/ So, what does this signify, for heaven’s sake?’

In her own Lifetime documentary series from 2022, titled after herself, Janet expressed that her deceased brother, Mike, was facing many struggles, which seemed to be affecting him deeply.

The tune climbed to position five on the Billboard Hot 100 during its 17-week run, and it earned the title for Best Music Video at the 1996 Grammy Awards.

In the monochrome music video, the renowned duo was seen playing together. As Janet revealed in the documentary series, coordinating their performances was intricate due to music industry figures trying to maintain distance between them.

In 2022, Janet expressed that it was challenging as Michael worked at night while she worked during the day. The record company would isolate his entire filming location, preventing her from observing the proceedings. They intentionally kept her away from the sets.

It seemed as though they were intentionally fostering a highly competitive environment for us both. This was painful for me, as I felt we were working towards a common goal together, not against each other in a battle.

In the process of creating their joint video, Janet expressed that her feelings of nostalgia didn’t live up to her expectations when working alongside her sibling.
