Janet Jackson announces Las Vegas residency that will launch in December
As a lifelong fan of Janet Jackson, I can’t contain my excitement about her upcoming residency in Las Vegas! Having grown up grooving to her iconic hits like “Rhythm Nation” and “That’s The Way Love Goes,” it’s surreal to think that I’ll be able to witness her live performances so close by.
Janet Jackson is coming to Las Vegas.
Starting this December 30th, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be kicking off a 10-show residency at Resorts World. On New Year’s Eve, you can catch me live in action, and afterwards, I’ve got eight more shows scheduled in January and February. For now, the plan is to wrap things up on Feb. 15th, but who knows what the future holds!
The news about the Las Vegas residency arises as Jackson, aged 58, approaches the conclusion of her 18-month global tour titled “Together Again,” which concluded at Inglewood’s Kia Forum in June and is set to continue in Europe next month.
In 2015, Jackson released her latest studio album titled “Unbreakable”; then, in 2022, she took part in a four-episode documentary series chronicling her personal life and professional journey which aired on both Lifetime and A&E television networks.
As a music enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that some iconic pop acts are gracing the Las Vegas Strip with their performances! Lenny Kravitz is set to rock Park MGM in October, while Tears for Fears will serenade us at the Fountainebleau in both October and November. Notably, last week, the Killers kick-started an extended run at Caesars Palace, a celebration of their 20th anniversary since the release of their debut album “Hot Fuss,” which was deeply rooted in Vegas’ vibrant rock scene.
Tickets for Jackson’s Resorts World engagement go on sale Aug. 28.
