Janet Jackson, 59, make surprise onstage  appearance with her beloved brothers as she and rarely seen son Eissa, seven, support them at The Jacksons gig in Reading

At the Heritage Live Festivals in Reading on Saturday, it was unexpected when Janet Jackson joined her older brothers Jackie and Marlon during their performance as The Jacksons.

59-year-old singer and her seven-year-old son, seldom spotted, stood backstage while the family band, which previously included their late brother Michael, performed some of their most popular songs to the audience.

Jackie, aged 74, and Marlon, at 68, presented their sister, who confidently strutted onto the stage with a timeless elegance in a roomy plaid coat and wide-legged trousers.

Later on, Janet shared videos from the show on her Instagram Stories, expressing her enthusiasm for her brother’s act.

She remarked, ‘I can’t put into words just how much fun your nephew and I had tonight. It’s always a pleasure to see the two of you.’

Before adding: ‘God bless you on your journey. We love you so much’. 

Established in 1964, the original members of the band consisted of the older brothers Jackie, Tito, and Jermaine. The younger siblings, Marlon and Michael, quickly followed and became part of the group as well.

At 51, Janet welcomed her child with her former husband, Wissam Al Mana. However, they parted ways not long after their son’s arrival.
