Jane Moore is labelled a ‘martyr’ by furious I’m A Celeb viewers as she continues her war on suds after being lumbered with pot-washing duties in the jungle camp
As a seasoned viewer of I’m A Celebrity and a long-time admirer of Jane Moore, I must say her antics during Monday’s episode have left me both amused and bewildered. It seems that our dear Jane has found herself in a bit of a pickle over the washing up duties, and I can’t help but feel a twinge of nostalgia as I recall my own experiences with household chores.
In the latest episode on Monday, Jane Moore kept viewers excitedly talking by persisting with her feud against doing dishes.
As an over-the-moon fan, I couldn’t help but jump up and cheer when the Loose Women host, 62, boldly voiced her opinions after being assigned a fresh task during the camp reshuffle on yesterday’s episode.
She hasn’t let go of the matter, as she’s persisted in voicing her concerns about her position within the camp.
Jane admitted she dislikes doing the dishes so intensely that she intentionally does a poor job, hoping nobody will ask her to do it again.
However, her persistent gripes about sharing household chores like tasks and cleaning dishes have led ITV viewers to label her as ‘immature’ on social media platforms.
One penned: ‘Barry thinking of Jane doing the dishes #ImACeleb #ImACelebrity’
Jane seems to take on an almost self-sacrificing role when it comes to doing the dishes. It’s not just her who’s in charge, but others are helping too. It’s puzzling why she acts as if it’s solely her task #imaceleb
‘Vote Jane to do a trial? She can’t even do the fkn dishes #ImACeleb’
‘Jane – you need to let it go, you’re only washing a few dishes for gods sake #ImACeleb’
‘Can’t wait to see Jane fuming about washing dishes’
On Sunday, the leadership of the camp shifted as the public vote granted Danny Jones and Barry McGuigan authority over the contestants.
But the new order didn’t go down well with the journalist who branded the pair sexist and ageist.
Instead of leading, the McFly vocalist and the ex-boxer took on the roles of newly appointed task organizers. They then departed to determine which household responsibilities each would tackle while at the campsite.
Following careful discussion, the duo concluded that Jane, among others, would be responsible for doing the dishes, alongside Tulisa. However, upon hearing this assignment, Jane expressed dissatisfaction, claiming that the task was assigned to her due to her being a female.
Earlier in the episode the two went off together to draw up plans.
Danny said: ‘Shall we talk chefs first, obviously me and Melvin can’t do that.
Barry then added: ‘Wood duty needs to be somebody who’s strong and has good stamina.
Later, Danny proposed to Jane that it might be beneficial if she handled the dishes, and he added, “Just wanted to mention, are we perhaps assigning the more labor-intensive tasks a bit too heavily towards men?
However, Barry swiftly dismissed the idea, responding: “That seems like a reasonable observation, but I believe they wouldn’t appreciate it a few days later.
Later on, Danny admitted that his actions were aimed at setting up the camp for optimal success.
The pair then went back to the eager campmates and began revealing who had what task.
In my role as a lifestyle guide, let me share an interesting anecdote I encountered recently. Upon arrival at our temporary abode, it was decided that the initial task would be the responsibility of Jane and Tulisa – overseeing the cleaning duties for our camp. As we were about to begin, Jane playfully questioned, “Wait, is this because we’re ladies?” in a spirit of camaraderie and humor.
Barry attempted to defend their choice by stating that, given Jane’s age being a year younger than his own, she may prefer a less demanding activity. However, before he could complete his thought, Jane countered with: “That sounds both ageist and sexist!
Danny playfully commented, “We’re off to a great start,” followed by Oti observing, “The air is thick with anticipation.
Later, Jane expressed her dissatisfaction when she found out she had to do cleaning tasks. She reminded Danny of her previous request before he left her side, which was, “‘Please, not cleaning”‘, and felt let down because that’s exactly what she got assigned.
As Jane persisted with her complaints, Dean initiated a supportive chant, “We’re with Jane!”, while Barry attempted to ease the tension within the camp, as Jane kept on voicing her concerns.
She said: ‘I’m not upset, I’m just saying it’s women doing the washing up again.’
