Jamie Marinos Drops Bombshell on Romance Rumors with Eliot Donovan

On the reality TV show “Married At First Sight,” bride Jamie Marinos has further sparked speculation about romantic entanglements, as her playful remarks concerning groom Eliot Donovan seem to suggest a potential role reversal between the two.

At Daily Mail Australia’s exclusive gathering, Jamie (age 28) and Dave Hand, as well as Eliot (age 35) and Veronica Cloherty, were the center of gossip over the weekend. This was due to them choosing to share a bed together at the event.

Today, the account manager decided to speak up regarding the rumors surrounding our relationship, appearing on the Today Show on Nine on Tuesday.

When questioned by Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo about her relationship status with ex-husband Eliot, Jamie displayed a hint of unease by chuckling softly.

Afterward, she shared with the morning program hosts that it had been since the Sunday evening reunion dinner that she last encountered the Queensland-based business owner.

During the movie’s production, Jamie disclosed that the two actors grew quite fond of each other, a bond that persists off-set. Furthermore, there were subtle suggestions of blossoming romantic feelings between them in the future.

‘I mean, it’s not the worst thing that could happen,’ she said.

50-year-old Karl gave a casual “oh, absolutely” and did a small jig in anticipation of another potential MAFS couple switching partners.

‘I mean, he’s only human guys,’ Jamie quipped, as the presenters let out a chuckle. 

Yet, Sarah, aged 39, subsequently intensified the situation by inquiring if there was potential for a relationship between her and Jamie, an unexpected pairing.

Of course, in typical Jamie fashion, she turned to humour to dodge the question.  

‘We would make the funniest TikToks!’ she said, adding they would ‘break the internet’. 

Initially, Jamie and Eliot were fierce enemies when Jamie abruptly left the experiment during his honeymoon with Lauren Hall. However, he reappeared at a later stage, this time accompanied by his new bride, Veronica.

However, their relationship has evolved into a flourishing friendship that seemed to reach a significant moment during Daily Mail Australia’s private Reunion Dinner held at the Ovolo Hotel in Woolloomooloo, as they were seen sharing a room together on Saturday night.

In an exclusive clip, the beloved bride playfully hinted that spectators had expressed concern over events involving her husband Dave and Veronica, yet suggested they ought to have been more concerned about her and Eliot instead.

The moment began when Eliot read out a question about his experience on MAFS.

Have you ever developed romantic feelings for or shared a kiss with any Married at First Sight cast member other than your assigned partner?” As his fellow cast members chuckled.

Eliot appeared shy, as he awkwardly lifted his shoulders, seeming unwilling to respond. Swiftly, Jamie gently tapped Eliot’s arm and suggested, “Take a seat, Eliot.

Instead of shouting out, “What did I walk into this morning, Eliot?”, Awhina Rutene exclaimed in surprise, “It looks like I walked in on something unexpected this morning, Eliot!” This implies that she had discovered Jamie and the groom in bed together.

Eliot expressed that he hadn’t had those romantic experiences yet with other women, to which Jamie concurred, suggesting, “There’s still plenty of time. No need to close the door on new possibilities.

During the reunion dinner, it appeared that Jamie and Eliot couldn’t resist touching one another. At one point, the groom was spotted wrapping his arm around the bride, even resting it on the back of her chair as they spent time together.

At some point, when the waiter gave Jamie a cocktail, she indicated that they should also give one to Eliot, saying, “Thank you. And please, one for my husband as well.

With wide-eyed astonishment from the crowd, she quipped, “Gotcha! You all believed it was Dave and Veronica!

Moments later, at the age of 31, Awhina playfully joked with Jamie about missing her past intimate moments with her ex-husband Dave. In response, Jamie made another suggestive remark regarding Eliot.

‘That’s what Eliot’s for… And you thought it was Dave and Veronica. Fools!’ she said.

It appears that, despite initial improbability, they formed a strong connection following a heart-wrenching experience. This occurred when their original partners grew closer during the ‘Feedback Week’, a time when couples temporarily changed partners to provide feedback on their relationships.
