10-month-old Beau, son of Jamie-Lynn Sigler, has been discharged from the hospital following a prolonged fight against ADEM (Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis) that lasted more than four weeks.

On Tuesday, she posted a heartfelt video expressing joy as her son was discharged from the intensive care unit after several weeks.

Outside the hospital, the actress’ eldest child was spotted exiting amidst a throng of family members, acquaintances, and staff, who had gathered in a hallway to cheer him on and extend congratulatory slaps on the back.

Once upon a time, after regaining my health, I bounced back with joy and stepped lively down the hallway, eager to showcase my bodily improvement.

‘After 33 days, we are busting out of here!’ wrote the actress who battles MS.

“My amazing son, truly a living wonder, it’ll be his choice if he ever decides to share the rest of his tale,” the grateful mother remarked.

‘Thank you all for the love and prayers. They worked.’ 

In another update, the actress from The Sopranos disclosed that their son Beau, who they share with her husband, the ex-Washington Nationals player Cutter Dykstra (aged 35), has been diagnosed with a seldom-seen condition known as ADEM – Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis.

As stated by Boston Children’s Hospital, Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM) is characterized by a sudden and severe inflammation (swelling) of the brain and spinal cord, which leads to damage of the myelin sheath that protects brain cells.

Myelin, also called white matter, is ‘the protective covering of nerve fibers.’

In the video’s preview, Beau is seen in a charming pose, donning a blue Philadelphia Phillies jersey numbered 3, which belongs to Bryce Harper at the back, accompanied by navy blue shorts and sneakers. He stands with his back to the camera, positioned under a sign that reads ‘Heroes this way,’ with an arrow indicating the direction towards the exit.

In their family, Sigler and Dykstra are also proud parents of Jack, who is 6 years old. On her Messy podcast, she shared that Jack has taken on the role of a wonderful caregiver for his older sibling.

Though Beau’s body has healed, Sigler disclosed in her podcast that there’s still emotional mending to be done. Yet, this ongoing struggle didn’t dampen the spirits of his friends and admirers as we joyously marked this significant milestone.

Actress Marla Sokoloff gushed with glee at the video writing, ‘His little dance! Love you guys.’ 

Nick Swisher extended his well-wishes, saying, ‘Fantastic video!! Kudos on your hit, Gritty Beau!! Lots of love, pal!!’

Jenna Dewan expressed her emotions by saying, “I am shedding tears,” which resonated with many people. In response, Lea Michele enthusiastically declared, “Yes, Beau!! We adore you Jamie and are amazed by you!❤️”
