Jamie Lee Curtis Shares Intense Kiss with Arnold Schwarzenegger 30 Years After Iconic Scene!

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I fondly reminisce about my shared cinematic journey with Arnold Schwarzenegger in “True Lies.” Thirty years have passed since our on-screen love story unfolded, and yet, recently, we shared a heartfelt moment of camaraderie, revisiting the magic that was born from our collaboration.

At Amazon’s Upfront 2025 event held in New York City on Monday evening, a 66-year-old Academy Award-winning actress, who recently called upon Mark Zuckerberg about AI, was accompanied by a 77-year-old action star.

At the historic Beacon Theatre in New York City, it was clear that the two were delighted to reunite, as Jamie affectionately kissed Arnold during their encounter backstage at the event.

They conversed delightfully backstage, took a few photos together, and then performed on stage as a duo.

On stage, the two actors were constantly touching each other, with the actress from Everything Everywhere All At Once playfully gripping the Predator actor’s face as if to plant a kiss on his lips.

Jamie was later joined by Elizabeth Banks and Octavia Spencer on stage.

In the 1994 action-comedy movie True Lies, Jamie Lee carried out her memorable striptease scene spontaneously, without prior planning.

In a June 2021 installment of the People In The 90’s podcast, the actress shared insights regarding the well-known scene.

The surprising fact: There was neither a rehearsal nor a choreographer involved. Jim [James Cameron] simply asked me, “What music would you like to dance to?

The actress mentioned that she requested the John Hiatt song “Alone in the Dark” and for the following three days on set, she danced as if no one was watching.

Curtis mentioned that we repeatedly filmed the scene, and gradually it became increasingly quiet.

During the act, the Knives Out actress admitted that her tumble mid-performance was spontaneous too – it was Cameron’s idea.

She remembered: ‘Repeatedly, we were performing the action, and gradually it became more silent. At some stage, Jim approached me quietly and asked in my ear, “If I fetch a pad, would you release the post?” To which I replied, “Of course.”‘

Curtis mentioned that the scene was greatly appreciated by viewers when the movie premiered, and he stated that it would always be the greatest laugh he experiences throughout his entire life.

In a surprising move, the actress mentioned that Cameron, who is 70 years old, came up with a last-minute idea to lighten up the scene and make it more appealing for a broader range of viewers.

Jim realized the dance was excessively provocative and authentic; he felt compelled to shatter the enchantment inflicted upon the wife by her husband. As I recall, we performed the scene twice, during which I released my grip on the pole,” she explained.

It was disclosed that Cameron wrote the script with her in mind, a fact that she found especially delightful.

As a die-hard admirer, I must say that the reason it left such an impact on me was primarily due to the fact that it was penned specifically with my fandom in mind. There’s something unique about this when someone writes for you; it means they’ve tuned into your wavelength, and in their creative process, they can hear your voice resonating within their thoughts.

Later on, Curtis pointed out that since she was supposed to be the main actress in the project, she felt that Cameron was open to allowing her to explore and really shape the role as her own.

Instead, she conveyed her gratitude for having the “greatest creative liberty I’ve ever experienced as an actor” during her work on both True Lies and A Fish Called Wanda.

In a previous announcement, the actress from Freaky Friday disclosed that she had learned about her upcoming role several months before it was made official, meaning by late August, I would find myself gracefully moving in minimal attire, essentially donning just my undergarments.

1994 saw the unforgettable arrival of True Lies, a thrilling reimagining of the 1991 French masterpiece, La Totale! As an ardent fan, I can’t help but relive those action-packed moments over and over again.

The focus of this feature revolves around a government agent portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger, who grapples with the challenge of harmonizing his work obligations with his private life.

Additionally featuring Bill Paxton, Eliza Dushku, and Charlton Heston, alongside other talented actors, the movie showcased them in diverse auxiliary parts.

Upon its first appearance, True Lies was generally well-received by critics, ultimately earning close to $380 million in ticket sales against a production cost of more than $100 million.

Work on a follow-up movie started immediately following its release, and a script was drafted for the production. However, the project was ultimately scrapped in the aftermath of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist incidents.

They’re working on a TV show adaptation of the initial movie, and it’s anticipated that filming for the pilot will take place towards the end of this year. Cameron continues to play a role as one of the executive producers.
