Jamie Lee Curtis, 66, looks incredible in a leggy red mini dress at the world premiere of Freakier Friday in Los Angeles

On Tuesday, Jamie Lee Curtis dazzled at the global debut of Freaky Friday, an event that took place at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.

In the new version of Freaky Friday from 2003, the 66-year-old actress chose to wear a fashionable minidress that accentuated her legs for the role.

She paired a bold red dress with nude high-heels, and completed her stylish ensemble with an elegant makeup.

In the upcoming film, serving as a continuation of the 2003 release, we find ourselves once more entangled in a fourfold predicament involving Lindsay Lohan and Jamie. This time around, their unique situation has them trading bodies yet again, a twist that unfolds 22 years after their initial swap.

Lindsay joined Jamie on stage to speak to a crowd of excited fans during the film festivities.

It’s amazing how time has flown by since Lindsay and Jamie played Anna and Tess Coleman in Mark Waters’ well-received reimagining of Freaky Friday, a movie that grossed over $160.8 million worldwide.

On Tuesday, Jamie expressed to People that he has confidence in her, stating, “I don’t often feel this way about many people, but I can trust her. I am certain that if I share something with her, it will remain private between us.” They have faced challenges together due to the nature of life being difficult.

‘Even though we’re still alive, our shared experiences surpass any glamorous facade. We truly formed a bond and managed to maintain it. That’s quite extraordinary and uncommon for me.’

The actress stated: ‘”Safety” holds significant meaning for me. It’s crucial that I feel secure around others. Jamie, in particular, is someone who makes me feel safe. In fact, I feel quite secure with you. I find comfort in confiding in you. So while you mentioned “trust,” for me it’s primarily about feeling “safe.”‘

In a supernatural comedy, Lindsay is making her first major on-screen appearance as a lead actor after a hiatus of eighteen years, during which her acting career was largely overshadowed by six rehabilitation periods ordered by the court and various scandalous behavior in Hollywood.

The upcoming film, serving as a continuation of the 2003 release, finds Lindsay and Jamie entangled in a fourfold predicament once more, as they exchange bodies for a second time – a full 22 years since their initial swap.

In the initial movie, we see a mother and her teenage daughter (portrayed by Curtis and Lohan) getting transformed mysteriously into each other’s selves, following an enigmatic message from a fortune cookie.

In the sequel, the storyline remains somewhat familiar to the original film, but it introduces an unexpected turn focused on Gen Z teenagers that creates turmoil for everyone involved.

This time, Lindsay’s character Anna is getting ready to marry Eric Davies (played by Manny Jacinto), but she’s facing challenges because her daughter Harper (portrayed by Julia Butters) dislikes Eric’s daughter Lily (acted by Sophia Hammons).

More recently, a paycheck from the initial Freaky Friday movie has come to light, leaving fans astonished.

Although the 2003 movie raked in an impressive $160 million against a production cost of only $26 million, Lindsay Lohan received a relatively modest payment of $550,000 for her leading part in the film.

In the meantime, it became a significant shift – when she took on the role in the 2004 film “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen”, her earnings were close to being twice as much, estimated at around $1 million.

In the previous year, it was mentioned that Lohan featured in a cameo for the musical reboot of Mean Girls, allegedly receiving a payment of $500,000 for this short part – showing that she appears to have overcome her past personal issues in the spotlight.
