Jamie Laing Reveals Horrific Injury to His Manhood and Gruesome Feet After Brutal 150-Mile Run

Jamie Laing has disclosed that a severely chafed genital area, along with other injuries, were among the hardships he endured while completing the grueling 150-mile Ultra Marathon in aid of Comic Relief.

36-year-old radio host from BBC Radio 1 completed a 5-day run from London to Salford and successfully finished the race on Friday. In doing so, they managed to collect an impressive £2,053,835 for the charity.

In the most recent episode of their NewlyWeds podcast, Jamie shared in a video blog from his run that he had to apply Vaseline due to injuries on both his feet and private parts.

He mentioned that his feet were causing him discomfort as he had developed blisters on them. One of his toenails had turned black, which he found unattractive.

I experienced an uncomfortable condition called chafing, particularly in a sensitive area – on my penis. To alleviate the discomfort, I applied petroleum jelly (Vaseline) to the affected spot.

He likewise shared a distressing photo on his Instagram Stories on Monday, depicting his severely swollen feet with a nearly detached toenail.

Instead of referencing Hobbit feet, he wrote: ‘My feet have become so puffy! They’re bruised, and I fear my toenail might come loose.’

‘They look a little bit like hobbit feet. Ones thing for sure they aren’t looking pretty’.

After completing the race, he made an appearance on Comic Relief’s live broadcast. Limping onto the stage, he confided in hosts Alison Hammond and Joel Dommett that he wasn’t feeling great, saying his body was in poor shape. He then quipped, “I should have just hopped on a train instead.

Following wife Sophie, age 30, declared Jamie as her “hero” in an overflowing tribute, after she witnessed him reaching the finish line.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday Sophie wrote: ‘My hero, that I now get to share with the world.

I’ve always admired your courage, sincerity, openness, and compassion, traits I witness daily in you, but now these qualities are on display for all to see and it fills me with immense pride to know that you’re shining so brightly.

Even though you consistently expressed doubt in your ability to accomplish the task each day, and although a part of me was tempted to dissuade you, I had faith that you would see it through because once you commit to something, you don’t easily back down. And true to form, you refused to give up.

It seems like you’ve shown yourself that you’re stronger than you realize, braver than you believe, and capable of accomplishing anything if you truly focus your efforts. I just want to express how much I adore you and how endlessly proud I am of all that you do.

During the live telethon, Jamie made an appearance, limping onto the stage. Addressing hosts Alison Hammond and Joel Dommett, he admitted that his body wasn’t in good shape after the run, and humorously added, “I could’ve simply hopped on a train instead.

He continued, expressing, “The trip was quite lengthy, yet truly remarkable. A significant aspect for me revolved around mental health. The funds will not only save lives but also provide aid, and I couldn’t be more pleased.

Previously, Jamie shared details about his struggle with anxiety and panic attacks during a recent interview on Good Morning Britain.

As someone who has grappled with panic attacks, let me share my experience. It’s as if death is knocking at my door. I used to believe I was having a heart attack, so I would seclude myself, hiding the turmoil of anxiety that gnawed at me for years. The first instance of a panic attack struck me when I was 20, and I had no idea what it was. In a state of confusion, I rushed to the hospital. Afterward, I continued to conceal this struggle from the world for many more years.

He was greeted by enthusiastic spectators along with his fellow Radio 1 hosts Greg James, Vick Hope, and Jeremiah Asiamah, who unveiled the astonishing sum of money he had managed to collect.

Initially, I felt like I had hit rock bottom both mentally and physically. I was drained of all energy. Yet, something mysterious compelled me to rise up from that state.

Before adding: ‘The last kilometre was the most euphoric thing I’ve ever had.’

On the last day of his five-day trial, Jamie was accompanied for a while by Greg, who added a charming touch in a bridal gown and garters.

As Jamie fought to keep his emotions in check while hugging Toby, it was this individual who significantly influenced Jamie’s transformation in adopting a more positive approach towards anxiety and mental health issues. Toby motivated Jamie to hit the pavement running as a means of dealing with these challenges.

To his buddy Jamie, he broke down in tears: “Toby, my best man at my wedding, was always there for me. He was the one I’d call when I was going through tough times. I hadn’t shared with anyone that I was struggling. But he assured me, ‘Don’t fret, we’ll overcome this together.’

Toby was the person who was with me then, whom I conversed with, and he’s accompanying me now. This signifies a great deal.

As your trusted lifestyle guide, I must confess, I find myself at a loss for words. Ever since our paths crossed seventeen years ago, Jamie, you’ve been a beacon of positivity in my life. You embody the essence of a true friend and serve as an inspiration to all who cross your path.

Over the course of our time together, I’ve been fortunate to discover something truly unique about you. It has been an honor to be included in your journey. Your extraordinary qualities continue to astound me, and I hold a deep affection for you, my friend.

Later on, the mood became more cheerful as Jamie was accompanied during part of his run by radio personality Greg, aged 39. Notably, he wore a striking white wedding dress.

Previously, Greg mentioned to Jamie that he would participate in his challenge wearing a wedding dress if the donations reached £450,000. However, fans effortlessly surpassed this amount.

The wedding gown was a tribute to Bella, Greg’s current spouse, who had proposed to him before he took on the Gregathlon challenge for Sport Relief in 2018.

As a devoted contributor, I’d like to share an update from my segment on Radio 1. In a surreal moment, much like a dream, I found myself discussing my part of the run while adorned with a veil and lace gloves – quite the bridal touch, I must say.

At the moment, I’m keeping step with him, matching his speed, and let me tell you, it’s truly impressive. Honestly, it is. To put it in terms a running enthusiast would understand, he’s been maintaining a pace of 6 minutes per kilometer, and we’re on Day 5 now.

I’m with the group of dedicated runners who are accompanying him on the road. They’re long-distance specialists, keeping an eye on him. Remarkably, they claim they’ve never witnessed anything like it – a non-runner suddenly reaching such high speeds is astonishing. He’s simply extraordinary in his performance!
