Jamie Foxx Asks Snoop Dogg to ‘Shake Up’ Daughter’s Boyfriend

In a recent interview while promoting his latest movie on Tuesday, Jamie Foxx shared a tale about asking his friend Snoop Dogg to have a talk with his daughter’s boyfriend.

57-year-old actor joined forces with Cameron Diaz, aged 52, on Capital XTRA, as they carried on promoting their movie “Back In Action.” The film premiered on Netflix this past Friday.

Inquired concerning their parental approaches, Jamie openly acknowledged that he can sometimes be direct and even enlisted West Coast rapper Snoop, aged 53, to assertively address Corinne’s boyfriend on one occasion.

Speaking on the morning show with Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie, I find myself struck by a balance between ease and vigilance, particularly regarding my daughters and the subject of their interactions with the opposite sex. While I do maintain an air of calmness, there are moments when I feel compelled to express my views more directly.

In a previous situation, when my eldest daughter was still dating someone else, that individual would occasionally visit our home. Prior to this, I had conducted a thorough investigation about him. Incidentally, during one of these visits, Snoop just happened to be present at our residence.

I exclaimed, “Look, Snoop! There he is! Let’s give him a nudge!” To which Snoop replied, walking over, “What’s going on? What’s the situation? You know, if she’s hurting, you’re hurting, buddy.

It’s wonderful! From my point of view, I can see their greatness, but I also realize they are children. We should allow them to experience life and grow in their own way.

In September 2024, Corinne, a model, actress, and TV producer, wed Joe Hooten at Jamie’s residence in Thousand Oaks, California. Remarkably, even after experiencing a stroke a year earlier, he managed to escort her down the aisle.

When asked the same question, Cameron replied: “Well, since I have young children, things are quite different for me. I explain to them, ‘I’m sorry, but that isn’t an option right now. I know how much you desire it, and I get it. Unfortunately, it just isn’t available.’

However, my spouse often remarks that I can swiftly transition from a calm state to an intense one, quite abruptly. Clearly, there’s room for improvement in this area.

After Jamie and Cameron struck a pose together at Cheval Three Quays, close to the Tower of London, it was later that day when their film debuted on the streaming platform.

The Academy Award-winning actor, Jamie, put on a substantial royal blue sweater from Gant, featuring a prominent ‘G’ design in bright yellow.

The star paired it with some baggy grey trousers and black platform shoes.

In the meantime, Cameron sported a cream jacket with its sleeves rolled up, complementing it with high-waist cream pants that matched.

In this outfit, the actress from Charlie’s Angels finished off her style by wearing a white t-shirt, adorned herself with a golden necklace, large gold hoop earrings, and a watch in a rose gold shade.

Over the past weekend, Jamie spent an eventful night filled with celebrities in London alongside his sixteen-year-old daughter Anelise, while he was busy promoting the latest movie release.

As I made my way back to the Chiltern Firehouse, it seemed I was in the company of notable figures such as Louise Redknapp and her partner, TV writer Drew Michael, along with the witty comedian, Jimmy Carr. Here we were, returning together to this esteemed location.

After the Ray actor learned that he was unconscious for twenty days following a stroke which led to brain bleeding, he initially believed it was a jest when medical professionals shared this information with him.

On this week’s airing of The Graham Norton Show, the celebrated guest opens up about his harrowing health ordeal that occurred after undergoing surgery in April 2023, leaving him in a coma.

Jamie stated that he couldn’t recall any events during the period from when he was taken to the emergency room until he regained consciousness 20 days later.

Initially, I was quite ill, but now I’m feeling much better. It really brings home the importance of having caring and loving individuals by your side during tough times, as they help you overcome them.

20 days ago, I couldn’t recall any events that had taken place, so when I woke up, it felt like a practical joke was being played on me. The situation was absolutely bizarre.

While working on the set of “Back In Action,” he began to suffer from a severe headache in Atlanta. At first, he received a cortisone injection, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, had a feeling that something wasn’t right.

Deidra drove him to Atlanta’s Piedmont Hospital, where he underwent a life-saving procedure. 

At that point, they chose to maintain secrecy about his health struggles, disclosing the truth just last month as shared by Jamie.

Previously, he shared that he clearly recalls awakening from his coma on May 4, and found himself incapable of walking.

He recalled: ‘When I woke up, I found myself in a wheelchair. I couldn’t walk.’

Jamie was reluctant to accept that he had suffered a stroke, instead recalling his therapist’s words: “To let the new Jamie flourish, you must eliminate the old Jamie.”

This sentence maintains the original meaning while using simpler and more conversational language.

He too contemplated: ‘God bestowed upon me wealth and recognition, yet once I lost sight of God, He graced me with a stroke.’

Regarding his comeback into the spotlight, Jamie shared with Graham: “I felt compelled to make a reappearance and figured humor was the key. I told so many jokes that people thought I’d lost my mind, then I would pretend to be someone else – for three consecutive days, I transformed into Denzel Washington.

In his recent Netflix special, the actor who plays Spider-Man sparked surprise by humorously stating that he no longer dates women of Caucasian descent in one of his songs.

He sang he’s been ‘cured’ and is ‘back on the black side of town’.

Sitting down at a piano, the Hollywood star sang: ‘Sisters, I’m here to tell you, I’ve been cured.

‘I am completely healed, and I have no interest in dating white women anymore. This isn’t a joke – I’ve made a decision to move on from dating white women. I won’t date them anymore. No white women for me.’

As the audience erupted in applause and stood up excitedly, Jamie exclaimed: ‘I’ve returned to the Black part of town!’ or ‘As the audience clapped and jumped from their seats, Jamie said: ‘I’m back in the Black neighborhood!’

Jamie has had several high-profile relationships over the years with both black and white women.

He enjoyed a six-year romance with Katie Holmes from 2013 to 2019.

Although many spectators laughed heartily at Jamie’s confession, there was a lingering doubt about the authenticity of his feelings.

Taking to X, one wrote: ‘Interesting. It took a stroke???’

Another said: ‘Jamie funny as s**t because he lying like hell LMFAOOOOO.’

A third added: ‘I don’t believe him. But I’m going to mind my business.’ 

Cameron, 52, is making her return to film after a decade-long hiatus. 

In the comedic spy thriller Jamie and Cameron star as ex-CIA agents who are now married with kids.

Despite being lured once more into the world of espionage, the situation becomes intricate as their offspring remain unaware about their profession.

She mentioned: “I’m back now, all thanks to Jamie. For the past decade, I’ve been disengaged from everything; rejected every opportunity. Then, I received this script and wondered if perhaps it was the right moment.

If I were to spend 10 hours away from my family each day, I desired to do so with the most accomplished figure in the entertainment industry.

It’s an honor to create movies, and it’s fortunate that we get to pursue our passion. Just being given the opportunity to enter this field after ten years was astounding.

Those ten years were cherished by me and my family, yet I found myself contemplating: ‘Should I let it slip away, abstain from re-engaging, and forgo the opportunity to try again, then I would be acting foolishly.’

‘It might be the beginning of something, but its here now and I am grateful for it.’
