James Whale, 73, shares heartbreaking health update amid terminal cancer battle after revealing there were ‘no treatments left’

In a recent disclosure, filmmaker James Whale updated the public about his ongoing struggle against terminal cancer, stating that no further treatment options remain.

73-year-old broadcaster is currently fighting advanced kidney cancer that has metastasized to his spine, brain, and lungs. Earlier, he had expressed that the Christmas season of 2023 might mark his final days, as he chose to discontinue treatment.

During a recent episode of his TalkTV show on Friday, he shared with his audience that the program might be coming to a close because of his deteriorating health. He admitted that the situation was becoming increasingly challenging for him and he had started applying makeup on air in an attempt to look more vibrant.

In our chat, the guest mentioned she had lost her spouse to cancer. In response, James shared that life had been smoothly progressing until quite recently, but now, things have become incredibly challenging for him.

‘To anyone else battling the final stages of cancer, my heart goes out to you. I understand your struggle, for I too have walked this path. Despite appearances, I am not as healthy as I seem. The makeup I wear is more than just cosmetics; it’s a mask that hides the reality of my condition.’
