Nowhere Special, filmed in Northern Ireland, tells the story of John, a father searching for the ideal family to adopt his son, Michael.
So, I just found out my character, John, has terminal cancer in this game. It’s rough, but my main goal now is making sure Michael, another character, is going to be okay after I’m gone. The problem is, time is seriously limited, and figuring out how to do that feels almost impossible. It’s a really tough situation to play through.

Uberto Pasolini wrote, produced, and directed the film, which came out in UK cinemas in 2021. You can now watch it for free on BBC iPlayer.
Robert Norton plays John, a window cleaner, in the main role. He stars alongside Daniel Lamont, who plays four-year-old Michael. The film also features Eileen O’Higgins, Siobhán McSweeney (known from Derry Girls), Valerie O’Connor, and Valene Kane (from Blue Lights).
