James Norton’s sci-fi horror film Flatliners has just been added to Netflix in the UK and Ireland.
In a modern retelling of the 1990 movie with the same title, we follow a group of medical students on a quest to unravel mysteries concerning the afterlife. Through experimental methods aimed at inducing near-death situations, they unwittingly encounter perilous and supernatural repercussions.
First debuted in 2017, this movie currently holds a 4% score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 77 critiques. _IndieWire_ characterized it as “exceptionally dull” or “painfully tedious.

As a gamer, I’d rephrase it like this: Critics such as Variety considered the movie unnecessary, Screen International even went so far as to say it should have been taken off life support. On the other hand, IGN praised the actors but felt the horror aspect of the film was dull and unimpressive.
Norton collaborates with Elliot Page from “The Umbrella Academy”, Diego Luna known for his role in “Andor”, Nina Dobrev who starred in “The Vampire Diaries”, and Kiersey Clemons.

If you’re eager to catch more of James Norton on your screens, mark your calendars! He’ll be appearing in the brand-new Netflix series titled “House of Guinness“, set to premiere on 25 September.
The show was created by Steven Knight and draws inspiration from the historical Guinness family, a long-lasting dynasty in Europe known for their real-life exploits.
In this production, the actor from “Happy Valley” performs alongside Anthony Boyle, Emily Fairn, Fionn O’Shea, and Louis Partridge, who plays the role of Enola Holmes, as they portray the four inheritors of the Guinness dynasty.

Additionally, Norton’s period drama Little Women was also recently added to Netflix.
The tale we’re discussing is a coming-of-age story, modeled after Louisa May Alcott’s 1868 novel titled the same, which chronicles the journey of the March sisters as they navigate their lives in post-Civil War 19th-century Massachusetts.
The movie is directed by Greta Gerwig and features an impressive ensemble cast that includes Florence Pugh, Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, Emma Watson, Eliza Scanlen, Laura Dern, and Meryl Streep.
Flatliners is now available to stream on Netflix in the UK and Ireland.
