James Norton sparks fresh rumours of a romance with socialite Flora Huddart – just weeks after he partied with Lily Allen

It’s been stirred up again that James Norton might be in a relationship with socialite Flora Huddart, following his recent outing with singer-actress Lily Allen at a music festival, which happened not long ago.

Over the weekend, the 40-year-old actor was spotted walking with Ms. Huddart in the northern part of London for the first time.

In a relaxed style, Norton from Happy Valley donned a black T-shirt, khaki shorts, vibrant neon green socks, sneakers, and a cap. Meanwhile, Ms. Huddart opted for a red top and comfortable pants.

Following the actor’s attendance at the Lido Festival in east London on June 14, where he was spotted enjoying time with Ms. Allen, their friendly interaction sparked buzz among onlookers as they were seen close together, engaging in conversation and dancing.

Two weeks following this incident, it’s said that Norton was spotted with Ms. Huddart, arm in arm, at the NYC Downlow nightclub during the Glastonbury festival.

Ms. Huddart is the child of fashion stylist Arabella Huddart and the sibling of Georgiana Huddart, who jointly founded the popular swimwear brand Hunza G.

Ms. Allen, aged 40, recently concluded her four-year union with David Harbour, who is 50 and well known for his role in Stranger Things. According to reports, the separation occurred last December following her discovery of a hidden profile of his on the private dating platform Raya.

Norton’s love life has also made headlines in recent years. 

In the realm of my unyielding admiration, I found myself smitten with two extraordinary talents – Jessie Buckley, whom I shared screen time with during our War And Peace journey from 2015 to 2017, and Imogen Poots, who captured my heart for six years. Alas, destiny had other plans, and we parted ways in 2023, leaving behind memories that will forever linger in the annals of my fandom heart.

Late last year he had a brief romance with Prada model Charlotte Rose Smith, 25.

Neither Norton nor Ms Huddart have confirmed their relationship.

Last month James said he is ‘crazily grateful for the pain’ of his split from Imogen.

In 2022, the actor became engaged to the actress from “28 Weeks Later,” who was 36 at the time, following four years of being a couple. However, their relationship ended in 2023.

The Little Women star now views Imogen’s decision to end their relationship as a ‘gift’.

At the Glastonbury Festival this year, James shared with The Sun that it felt like a peculiar blessing, indirectly.

‘She called it. She realised it wasn’t working – I’m crazily grateful for the pain she caused me.’

James considered the separation a pivotal, significant event in his life as he had believed he and Imogen would build a future with children together.

He expressed that he was recently dumped, which was a huge blow for him. He had been planning to start a family, but now, at the age of 38, the life he envisioned for himself seems to have vanished.

Previously, the actor from Happy Valley maintained his optimism about starting a family, even after his engagement ended.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, he shared that growing older can be challenging if one frets excessively about past decisions, but he personally doesn’t harbor regrets.

You know, not all recent decisions were up to me, but I haven’t felt resentful about it. Hopefully, by next year I’ll have a family and be in a relationship…

In some instances, you possess a degree of control over your life and decisions, while in others, that control may not be present.

‘But if you made those choices or not, it’s a shame to spend time agonising over either.’

Although he longs to have kids, James feels it wouldn’t be right or just for him to begin a family during the past few years.

He said: ‘I don’t sit on set where I’m playing a dad and feel sad and broody. 

I really enjoy spending time with children, as many of my close friends are parents. However, since I’ve been incredibly busy lately, it wouldn’t be right to add a child to my hectic lifestyle.

Additionally, the built-in advantage for men lies in having more time, as they can delay parenthood if they choose. Fortunately, I find myself in this position, and it brings me great joy to appreciate my life now. In truth, I am genuinely thrilled with the decisions I’ve made.
