James Nesbitt stars in first look at new Harlan Coben Netflix show

Initial images featuring James Nesbitt from the upcoming Netflix series titled ‘Run Away’, created by Harlan Coben, have surfaced.

The most recent rendition of the renowned author’s work is inspired by his 2019 novel, where a father’s life spirals out of control following his daughter leaving home.

I’m thrilled to be part of the action right now, as filming is happening in Manchester – a place Coben beautifully described as a blend of ordinary and extraordinary! Snapshots from the set have started popping up everywhere.

In the images, Nesbitt is depicted wearing a black suit and a grey overcoat, while sporting a somewhat distressed countenance.

Based on the limited information we have, Coben has hinted at some additional insights about the upcoming series.

He clarified that the story ‘Run Away‘ revolves around the concept of family – it delves into the lengths we go to preserve our family bonds, the hidden truths we conceal within our families, and the secrets we collectively safeguard as a family.

Each time you pass by the house, there’s an entire cosmos hidden beyond its doors, a secret world unknown to all of us.

Jimmy shows such a wide acting talent. He always comes across as genuine and true to life, as Coben noted about Nesbitt, who has been featured in earlier adaptations like Stay Close and Missing You. Coben described him as an actor with empathy, meaning he experiences emotions deeply, which in turn makes us empathize with him.

In addition to Nesbitt, the eight-part series features Ellie de Lange, Ruth Jones, Minnie Driver, Alfred Enoch, and Jon Pointing in its cast. Danny Brocklehurst continues in his role as the scriptwriter for this production.

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t wait to dive into more of Harlan Coben’s captivating world! Besides “Run Away,” both “Caught” and “I Will Find You” are set to debut on Netflix soon, promising another thrilling ride into the complexities of human relationships and the unpredictability of fate.
