New pictures of James Nesbitt in Harlan Coben’s upcoming Netflix adaptation have been released.
According to the 2019 book by the author, “Run Away” narrates the tale of Simon Greene, a man whose world is flipped when his daughter, Paige, leaves their home and goes missing.
In a rephrased manner, the scene can be described as follows: Simon, portrayed by Nesbitt, encounters Paige addicted to drugs in the park, urging her to return, but he unwittingly gets embroiled in a treacherous and perilous environment that could potentially shatter his family’s unity.
Earlier this year, the production of an eight-episode series started in Manchester, and some behind-the-scenes photos have been released to excited viewers as a sneak peek.
Here I am, braced for another thrilling chapter unfolding before my eyes. Fresh snippets reveal me, taking on the lead role, battling relentlessly to save my precious daughter.

1st Image Description: A photo captures the character in a gray suit, urgently imploring ‘Paige’ (portrayed by Ellie de Lange), while holding onto her arm tightly.
2nd Image Description: The second snapshot displays Simon striking a younger individual, with an onlooker recording the event surreptitiously in the backdrop.
The show “Run Away” boasts a remarkable ensemble cast, including Ruth Jones from “Gavin & Stacey”, Minnie Driver, Alfred Enoch known for “How to Get Away with Murder”, Lucian Msamati, and Jon Pointing of “Big Boys”. Nesbitt will also be part of this talented group.

Ever since its publication, this novel has garnered numerous glowing endorsements from various sources. For instance, Heat magazine described it as a gripping thriller that will undoubtedly have you reading late into the night, well past when it’s time to hit the sack.
As a devoted reader, I can’t help but express my enthusiasm for this captivating narrative! According to The Sunday Times, it brims with vibrant, insightfully crafted characters and swift, engaging dialogue. Closer magazine adds that this master of suspenseful storytelling is back with a vengeance. They suggest that it’s worth setting aside your phone for the experience!
In a previous discussion on the screenplay “Run Away,” written by Danny Brocklehurst, Coben stated: “Run Away” explores the concept of family – the lengths we go to preserve it, the secrets hidden within, and the secrets shared among its members.
Each time you stroll by the residence, there’s an entire cosmos hidden beyond that entrance, and none of us has any idea about its mysteries.
Run Away is set to be released on Netflix, with a confirmed date yet to be announced.
