James Martin and Celebrity Traitors star Joe Marler ‘hunt down fan who POOED in their VIP lift at £1,250-a-ticket suite at Twickenham’

James Martin and Joe Marler are said to be looking for a rugby fan who caused a disturbance at their exclusive event held at Twickenham’s Allianz Stadium on Saturday.

TV chef and reality star, ages 53 and 35 respectively, hosted a VIP suite for England’s recent victory against New Zealand. Unfortunately, someone defecated in the suite’s private lift.

James, who prepares elaborate four-course meals for guests at his and Joe’s place, seemed deeply shaken when he revealed the upsetting discovery.

Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE this! At first, the chef was totally teasing, saying his co-host – you know, the rugby legend! – was the one who did it! It was all a joke, but then… then he got serious. Someone actually gave him the CCTV footage! He was so determined, he promised right there and then that he would find whoever was responsible. I’m SO invested in this now!

Following England’s victory over New Zealand, the atmosphere was incredibly celebratory. Then, unexpectedly, James appeared on stage while Joe was interviewing rugby players, including Warren Gatland, and seemed visibly stunned.

He shared the shocking news that someone had left a very large bowel movement in the elevator, and he’d just found out. While some people found it hilarious, others were completely disgusted.

According to The Sun, he announced to everyone in the room that he’d received the CCTV footage and was determined to discover who had defecated in the elevator.

Their package, available since November 2024, features unlimited Guinness and post-match interviews with rugby players.

Daily Mail have contacted James Martin and Joe Marler’s reps for comment.

This news follows Joe’s statement that he earned less than some of his fellow actors, even though it was previously reported that everyone on the show received equal pay.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve always been fascinated by what goes on behind the scenes of popular TV shows. Unlike many reality programs where paychecks can fluctuate dramatically based on a star’s popularity, I heard the cast of that BBC hit were all treated equally – each receiving a flat fee of around £40,000. It’s refreshing to hear about a show prioritizing fairness in compensation!

Joe, a finalist on Faithful, has shared that he received a smaller amount than other participants.

The rugby player quickly became a fan favorite on this year’s Celebrity Traitors, even though he wasn’t able to prevent Traitor Alan Carr from taking the prize money.

Richard Osman and Marina Hyde revealed that podcast guests on their show, The Rest In Entertainment, received £40,000. Joe mentioned his wife, Daisy, had also been told this.

He said: ‘Yeah, Daisy read that too. She said to me, ”Hold on, I thought you only got 30?”

I confirmed that, yes, I had done it. I don’t believe everyone received the same payment, but it doesn’t really matter to me. The deal was thirty thousand dollars, regardless of how long you worked – it was an easy decision.

Alan ultimately won the competition by successfully concealing his identity as the only traitor, preventing his elimination. He took home the full £87,500 prize, which he generously donated to Neuroblastoma UK.

In an interview with The Times, Joe also criticized Stephen Fry, acknowledging that he shouldn’t have tried to follow Fry’s example.

After people complimented Stephen’s intelligence even though he hadn’t caught any traitors, Joe explained his initial strategy: ‘I was just planning to copy what Stephen does, figuring he’d be good at it.’

‘Then after a couple of times, I realised, he’s not good at this. This is not a good plan.’
