It has been revealed that Marsden will feature in Season 2 of Munn’s Apple TV+ series, “Your Friends And Neighbors,” which is set to debut on the 2025 television schedule. Interestingly, this isn’t their first encounter, and the tale of how they rekindled their connection later in life is quite endearing.

It’s often thought that these two Hollywood veterans got acquainted while working on a mutual movie project, but interestingly enough, they hail from the same small town in Oklahoma. Approximately four or five years following my relocation to L.A., I experienced a measure of achievement. I appeared on a television program, and back home, I had become somewhat recognized as someone who had moved to Los Angeles and managed to establish myself. Consequently, when I visited home to see my sister, she asked if I would join her for dinner with some of her school friends. I agreed, and one of those friends was Olivia [Munn].

Each instance when a well-known figure discloses that they knew another before their rise to fame, it’s as if an angel earns its wings. Case in point: Jack Antonoff and Scarlett Johansson, who not only knew each other but also shared the title of high school sweethearts and even attended the same prom together.

It’s quite unlikely that Munn and Marsden became close friends due to their shared high school background, as they didn’t attend at the same time because Marsden is seven years older. Even though they lived in the same town, they may not have crossed paths growing up. Their stories could have taken different paths if Marsden’s career hadn’t taken off after “Party of Five” or if Munn had never made it to Hollywood.

It’s evident that event didn’t occur, and it’s fortunate for that. In my view, they are both exceptionally gifted and stunning individuals who surely deserve their fame as successful actors. Following their individual rise to prominence in Hollywood, the actor from “The Best of Me” recounts a reunion with the actress from “New Girl“, and I’m still amazed by her heartwarming response upon seeing him again.

Years ago, I crossed paths with Olivia at an LA GQ gathering, and she casually mentioned, “I’m pals with your sister Jenny, remember our Applebee’s outing?” My mind was blown because that encounter should have left a lasting impression!
