James Mangold’s Star Wars Future Unclear as Paramount-Skydance Greenlights High Side

In simple terms, Skydance assumed ownership of Paramount Pictures, and it appears they’ve inadvertently caused some friction with Disney. By acquiring the rights to “High Side” and giving director James Mangold the go-ahead, Paramount has now occupied his schedule during a period when many had anticipated him starting work on a new Star Wars Jedi origin project.
